Deadly United Important Announcements
I'm creating this thread so there is a place we can preserve important announcements. I don't want them to be lost in alliance chat. Please feel free to introduce yourselves or contribute and comment on alliance structure. However, keep the day to day stuff in alliance chat and the line app. This thread is reserved for information we need to save for more than a few hours.

Last night I posted an important announcement to alliance chat and it quickly got lost in the discussion that followed. Here is a recreated version for everyone to view:
Here's my analysis of our progress toward becoming a top 100 alliance.
We are at #111 so it is possible to be top 100, but it is going to require some changes. Our average member contribution for the last two events was 628 and 627. This is good but top 100 for the Starfall event was about 13500, or 675 per member. If you are earning more than 675, we need you to stay there. If you are earning in the 600 rage, as many are, set your goal for 675. Starting with F-F-W I'm going to be enforcing a 500 per event minimum. If you score less than this too many times per season, you will be kicked. I'm not setting an exact number, as I will consider circumstances, but approximately 3 per season and you are out. Under this policy _5tan_, luisito48, and edy310 would be out this season, so consider this your kick in the butt and warning to step it up. JPC, I'm giving you a temporary pass. I want you to concentrate fully on leveling Thor and OBW. Once you've done that we can start looking at scores.
Overall we're doing great. Season IV finishes have been 181, 168, 134 and 111, Keep going this direction and we'll have more covers very soon. I can tell a lot of you pushed hard at the end and I appreciate it. This was a tough competition.0 -

I'm very pleased with our Season VI scores. We placed in the top 100 in every single PVP event, meeting or exceeding our goals.
As a reminder, we need approximately 675 per member per event to place in the top 100. Twelve members exceeded this on average for the season. Those with mostly 2 star rosters scoring between 600-675 are still pulling their weight. If you are scoring less than 600 on average or are scoring in the low 600s with a solid three star roster, please work on improving your scores.
We will enter Season VII with the same team. Not a single poor score!0 -
The Anniversary season was very good. Special thanks to our temp, Dom22, who filled in while Gary was spending time with family.
Although we didn't get the Dino reward for the first PVP, we did our best and broke many alliance records. We did, however, get the season reward. Thanks to everyone who worked hard. Every contribution mattered.

Season VII was a tough one. After earning every cover in Season VI and obtaining Devil Dino during Anniversary week, We missed our top 100 cover rewards for Season VII much more often than in the past despite vast improvements overall. This necessitated some end of season member changes. Luckily we were able to get our own 4 Thor with a last minute substitution. Thanks to our substitute, GrumpySmurf, and to Fidsah for taking one for the team. Special thanks to Snakes, who has become a powerhouse earning scores more than 2 standard deviations above average, and Papa, who gets the gold star for most improved : )
We all need to up our game even further for season VIII. I'm setting a personal stretch goal of 900 per event. I encourage everyone to set goals appropriate to your roster. As we've all seen recently, we can no longer expect top rewards to come easily.

Season VIII has been our best season by far for alliance performance. We finished six out of 10 events in the top 50 and finished 53 in overall season rankings. Thanks to everyone. We have a great team.
During Season VIII some changes mid season seemed to depress scores overall, which seemed to help our alliance. Multiple ending times made some brackets very score poor and changes to Sentry and Hood kept Sentry bombers back under 1000k most of the time. As you can see from the data, the scores in the second half of the season are somewhat lower than the first half. This is partly from the changes in game and partly due to the Thanksgiving holiday in the US, when many people travel or have guests.
This will be the last season for Xotyona and I. We've become bored with MPQ and will be playing other games most of the time. We will miss you guys. Chatting with such a good group has been one of the best parts of the game for me. We are passing the torch on to Papa07. He has been with us since season III, is very active on the forums, and loves spreadsheets as much as I do. He has already stated that he intends to keep things much the same, including the spreadsheets.
Good luck everyone!

Note: I apologize about some missing data. The new end times prevented me from recording the scores unless I got up and recorded first thing in the morning. They were sometimes gone by the afternoon following a 1am end time. I tried to piece things together as best I could using season scores and simulator scores but some are still just estimates or missing altogether.0 -
We had another excellent season, especially with the turnover and the holidays. We finished 62nd with 6 new players and are well positioned for Season X. Now I just have to figure out how to get the spreadsheet to post here...

With all the scoreboard issues, some of the numbers were estimates and our alliance standing was based on what I last saw, so likely changed slightly. In addition to the Season 9 data, there is also a summary tab in the back that lists everyone's average PvP score by Season. Been very busy with year end work, but if there is anything you would like to see added to the sheet, please let me know and I will try to incorporate it.0 -
Season 10 and the new shield cooldowns.
Based on the new shield cooldowns, we will be even more lenient than in the past about the 600 minimum score per event, as long as the team stays comfortably in the top100.
Our revised standards (subject to change as we get more information)
Per Event: Recommended 600+, Minimum 500+
Season: Recommended 7500+, Minimum 6500+
As always, the driving force is whether the team is safely in the top100 and if these numbers are to change, it will be due to that. We are hoping that everyone makes the recommended targets, but due to the changes realize that there will be times when it cannot be reached. Great work so far this season, keep it up and Elektra will be coming home to Deadly United.0 -

For Season 11, in replacing 3 members, we lost about 1500 points in comparing the new team to the old for last season. We were only 2000 points ahead of the 100th place team last season. We need everyone to try for an additional 100 or 200 points this season0 -

For Season 12, we are replacing 1 member, with a returning retiree.
I am hopeful that we can eliminate the sub-500 scores for next season.
We have 3 returning members that were between 7150 and 7300, who can hopefully raise their score over 7500 for Season 12.
Looking forward to another great season, whatever the rewards may be.0 -
I think this should work for Google Doc. Some of the formatting didn't come through, but that is easy enough to fix over time.

Looking forward to another great season. Thanks guys!0 -
Through 4 events of Season 14, here are my conclusions.
The low scores need to stop. Through 4 events we have 8 scores of less than 300 points. In the three events where we have scores like this, we have struggled to make top100, while in the one event where everyone contributed, we were an easy top100.
There will be inconsistent scores from week to week due to the multi-buffed system.
Taking those two facts in mind, here are our revised rules (effective starting with the Smash Hit event):
1. Any player scoring under 300 twice in a season is subject to removal.
2. Any player averaging less than 500 points per PvP will have an evaluation after the year to determine if they can stay another season (need to provide a reason why things will be different)
3. Any player averaging less than 500 points is subject to removal from Season standings, starting from the bottomm if alliance cover is in jeopardy.
If you have any questions about our new guidelines, please let me know, either through ingame, forum, or line. Thank you0 -
Through 4 events of Season 15, here are my conclusions.
With the new scoring platform, we are doing excellent and here are the revised numbers for targets.
Additionally, everyone probably needs to target around 8500 to 9000 for Season score, as that is likely what it will require to finish top100. Here are our revised rules (effective starting with the Squirrel event):
1. Any player scoring under 400 twice in a season is subject to removal.
2. Any player averaging less than 650 points per PvP will have an evaluation after the year to determine if they can stay another season (need to provide a reason why things will be different)
3. Any player averaging less than 650 points is subject to removal from Season standings, starting from the bottom if alliance cover is in jeopardy.
If you have any questions about our new guidelines, please let me know, either through ingame, forum, or line. Thank you.

Facebook.
I have an MPQ Facebook account. Snakes arrows. It has a pic of Xforce as the profile pic. I think i have several hundred MPQ folks that have friended. I dont check it much but just use for the in game Facebook gifts. If anyone wants to connect please do so and ill friend. From there you can check the friends listed and they are all MPQ players. I dont get as much ISO as i hoped. Maybe 1000+ per day???
I would not use my personal Facebook account. It gets a crazy amount of MPQ related post everyday and would overwhelm your normal account. If needed you can change through the help desk. Takes a few days or as long as two weeks to transfer Facebook save accounts i hear.0 -

Additionally, everyone probably needs to target at least 9,000 for Season score, as it is likely that we will need to average 10,000 to 10,500 to finish top100. Here are our revised rules (effective starting Season 17):
1. Any player scoring under 400 twice in a season is subject to removal.
2. Any player averaging less than 750 points per PvP will have an evaluation after the year to determine if they can stay another season (need to provide a reason why things will be different)

With the new scoring platform, we are doing excellent, keep up the good work.
Based on the steady inflation of scoring, the top 100 cut line for Season 18 will likely be between 204,000 to 207,000. That means that everyone needs to target at least 9,000 for Season score, as it is likely that we will need to average 10,200 to 10,350 to finish top100. Here are our current rules:
1. Any player scoring under 400 twice in a season is subject to removal.
2. Any player averaging less than 750 points per PvP will have an evaluation after the year to determine if they can stay another season (need to provide a reason why things will be different)

What happened Season 18? Instead of a small bump into the 205k range, the number moved up to 215k. However, 103rd place was 185k. Essentially, anyone who had a high score on a non-top100 alliance merced into a top ranked alliance and moved the cut line number up.
Thoughts on Season 19. I expect the cut line to be potentially as high as 225k, with a legendary token as the reward. However, I do not anticipated the scores needed for each event to increase. So I am proposing 2 options for this season, please vote on your choice in game chat.
Option A is the winner
Option A
1. Any player scoring under 400 twice in a season is subject to removal.
2. Players are expected to average at least 750 points per PvP.
3. No season score requirements. However, if season standing is in jeopardy, players will be replaced, starting from the bottom.
With the 7 event season, personnel decisions will be made after event 6. I will try to do as little as possible, but anyone who does have to be removed will be welcome back for the next season and I will find a top250 home for the end of the season as well.
Option B1. Any player scoring under 400 twice in a season is subject to removal. If you have any questions about our new guidelines, please let me know, either through ingame, forum, or line. Thank you.
2. Players are expected to average at least 825 points per PvP.
3. Players are expected to have a minimum of 10,000 season points. If season standing is in jeopardy, players who are below that target will be replaced, starting from the bottom.
