Lvl 40 Iron Man Magically Becomes Lvl 165 in Shield Simulato

Just encountered a very strange opponent in Shield Simulator.

The opponent (Vergil_Sparda) was fielding a team of Lvl 1 Black Widow + Lvl 1 Venom + Lvl 165 Iron Man Model 40.
However the Iron Man only have a single power (Ballistic Salvo), so how is it possible for this char to become Lvl 165?

I looked at his roster, and in his roster the Iron Man is showing up only as a Lvl 40 with a single cover,,, how did it become Lvl 165 in Shield Simulator?

Anyone have any idea how this happened? Seems like this player was able to take advantage of this glitch/bug/hack and accumulate 891 Shield Simulator points already fielding a group of Lvl 1 characters and a single Lvl 40 Iron Man.

It's either a bug resulting from the recent level range rebalancing patch, or it's an outright hack. The jury's still out on this one, afaik.

Having said that, it would be nice if D3P would have actually done something about this by now, if it is indeed a bug and not a hack.
And it would be nice, if this was indeed a hack/exploit, if they'd have plugged the hole that makes it possible by now.

    It would be nice

but this game has a history of nice things being problematic to implement.
    Don't hold your breath.
  • I've beaten that guy 3 times. I feel a little bad since his roster is really just a handful of covers...but he's sitting at like 900+ points with essentially a bag of meat and no abilities.

Oh, there's also Charmedone33 I think, with a 1 green cover level 94 Ares. Hit that one a bunch too.
  • Seems like this is a very very very common bug/glitch. Just met 3 more players with the same "magical" power up. A level 40 Loki with a single cover is now suddenly Lvl 140 (Mariselacer), a Lvl 15 Ares with a single cover is now Lvl 94 (Charmdedone33), Lvl 40 Iron Man Model 40 is now Lvl 165,
