Do the Math: How much does a level 270 Nick Fury cost?

So I've been seeing a bunch of level 270 Furies (not furries, you perv) running around. Just out of curiosity, how much do you have to spend to get a level 270 Fury? The season alliance awards only gave you a 1-2 covers if I recall correctly.

4-star covers cost 2500hp each, and max is 13 covers. So let's say your alliance did well in Seasons 1-3 and got 3 Fury covers. That leaves you with 10 Fury covers to buy.

2500 x 10 = 25K hero points ---> Stark salary (which is currently 25K hero points offer for ONLY $99.99). $100 is one hell of a bargain for an uber character (until he inevitably gets nerfed to hell).

EDIT: ****, I forgot to include the cost of ISO. How much ISO does it take to level a 4-star character to the max?

    25000 HP and 470000 ISO.
I think most of us bought the covers, and grinded the ISO.
Well, those of us who don't max every new char on the first day anyway.

And Fury is not _that_ OP. The Sentry PVP shows off what he can do, since you'll be running Hood anyway. Without Hood he's too slow on defense to do much.
  • Thanks for the numbers.

So 470K ISO....current "sale" is Mother Lode 91K ISO for a measly $99.99. So let's just round the numbers and say maxing out Nick Fury takes about 5 Mother Lode purchases. $100 x 5 = $500. So $500 ISO purchase + $100 HP purchase = maxed out level 270 Nick Fury!

So you can have a level 270 Nick Fury for ONLY $600!!! icon_lol.gif
  • Don't forget the three months of time put in a competitive alliance to get the first 3 covers!

    What sale?

Likely one of the incentive sales they put out that are only visible to people who have never made an in game purchase.

So at normal prices, and assuming that all resources are purchased and not earned, a maxed fury would cost $790. . . That's a bargain if I've ever seen one!
  • Glad I play the free version of this game

I've never purchased ISO or HP before and I'm not seeing any sale either - may be region or platform specific. I'm running on Android in NA.

It's targeted so you will get a sale eventually, whenever your number comes up.

Out of curiosity...how much do you think an endgame character that is intended to take several months to build up should reasonably cost?

I think this is a GOOD thing.

Suppose he hypothetically costs $25.00 to max out. Suddenly you have free to play players in a situation where they either devote 6+ months of hardcore play to hopefully win the rewards for this character...or spend a couple of work hours of wages (assuming you don't earn much that is) to buy him outright.

The character instead costs $600.00 to top out. Most of us probably look at $600.00 as a lot of money to spend on an in game luxury. This puts a large barrier to entry on feeling a forced need to pay to win. Sure, you'll see a few maxed Fury's out there but they won't be as wide spread like they would be if the cost was 'reasonable' to the average player. Fewer Fury's also helps maintain the feeling that this character is rare and special to the game. Something that a low price would prevent.
