So I have three maxed out 2 stars at 94.
Thor 3/5/5
Magneto 3/5/5
Storm. 5/5/3

I have almost all the other 2 star characters with full skills but kept at low levels. Except Johnny Storm.

Which of three star should I build up first?
L40 Patch 1/4/1
L43 Thor 2/2/0
L50 Sentry 1/2/2
L46 spidey 0/4/3
L50 Falcon 3/2/1
L58 Cap 3/3/3
L55 Daken 1/3/2
L40 Magneto 1/0/1
L40 Hood 1/0/1

Assume I am maybe willing to spend real cash to buy one or two covers. Clearly I have bought hero points. I made a choice. Play during work and get fired, or buy some hero points, and keep job.
Sadly I can't buy Thors green, or the decision might be easy.

Or should I level up my level 60 OBW 3/5/5 and wait for more ISO's even though her healing power has been nerfed.

Thank you.

Falcon, Spidey, and Hood are support, so wait on those. Magneto is your lowest covered 3*, and he's still on the nerf block, so no.
No Green for Thor, no go.
Cap is looking pretty good, but he's mostly a PvE character. Runs well with IM40 and Hood. If you like PvE a lot, go ahead. Otherwise, low priority.
Patch is kinda risky without Mags. Kinda slow too.

Sentry and Daken is not a bad team. If you buy a few more purples, I think you have a good stating point.

definatly level up OBW and also get Ares up and running and possible Jr Torch. OBW/Ares is the best 2* team even with the healing Nerf. If you can use your HP to shield hop and earn 2 covers in PVP you are better off doing that than paying 1250 for 1 single 3* cover. To buy a cover it should be your 13th cover or at least 5th cover in a coveted character. You are going to need a lot of ISO and you are better off grinding in the simulator and PVE/PVP than buying it as it is not a great buy. For now I would still recomend using HP for slots and shield hops not covers as you need a lot of 3* to make your covers viable.

    Hope this helps

Dude, level yo oBW/Ares. Maybe Wolvie (Astonishing), too.
Keep your 3*s soft-capped, but if you don't have enough ISO, level the current featured ones bit by bit. They are unusable as of now.

I'm the 2* »» 3* zone and my advice for you is: You should level your good 2* Ares, OBW and even Magneto!

Thank you all for the advice.
I will level up Ares and OBW for now and wait for more 3 covers to fall my way.
    Ares is now 5/3/5 L43

Get him to 4/4/5 L94 and even maxed 3* teams will go looking for easier targets - if they're in a hurry and don't want to get hurt anyway icon_e_wink.gif

My assessment is you're a moderetely long way from getting a 3* team - speaking as one in the 2* -> 3* transition myself (my biggest 3* is Hulk with 10 covers,) I actually have the following 2* characters maxxed:

    OBW
    Ares
    Thor
    Wolverine
    M-Magneto
    C-Storm

I grind through them all in PvP - I'll throw the MMags/C-storm team in early once or twice, then pair up OBW with one of the others. I'll usually end with OBW and either Ares or my Hulk (who is soft capped in the 120 range,) as the best deterrent for being attacked. Whenever it is directly useful to level up a 3*, I level them up a bit, so my team ups are a beefier than someone using the 3* "out of the box," but I don't spend a lot of Iso on them (most are in the 60-70 range, I think I have one or twoin the 80s.) They also come in handy when they're buffed in PVP.

Right now I'm sitting on about 95K Iso. It would be over 100, but the recent PVE has had my 2* cap creep up. I may bite the bullet and max him for PVE.

Basically, read the guides, gather Iso, and you'll eventually get a 3* you can actively pair with your 2*s, then you'll eventually get a 3* team. Right now my Hulk is about as dangerous as Ares, Thor, and Wolverine - he has a hell of a lot more hp than any of them, but his offense is meh.
  • Until you get to 9 or 10 covers for a 3 star, they are nothing more than a glorified paperweight. Max your valuable 2 stars - Ares, Thor, OBW, Magneto, Storm. Players choice on Wolvie, Daken, and Torch.

A lvl 114 3 star has 9 covers. Match damage of 59/52/46 which is superior to a 2 star at 55/49/43. Cap at 114 has health of 5868, which is equal to Ares/Thor. Obviously with 9 covers, power moves are weaker, but all in all, I think that is the point that you can start mixing 3 stars into the rotation.

This is a long haul and there are no easy shortcuts.

Follow up and of course advise needed. icon_e_smile.gif
So recently in the last tournament, I got to 605 points. I put up my shields for 24 hours. icon_lol.gif I was thinking hurray. I would get that one green cover Thor for sure.
I text messaged my small alliance of “Love”, a Top 2000 alliance that was kind enough to take me in, saying I got my 605. I came back, and I was attacked like 4 times. Whimper. icon_e_surprised.gif My shield should have worked but did not. icon_eek.gif I got knocked down to 569. Sure enough I finished at 102 place. icon_cry.gif I PM one of the red names on here hoping for a response. Nothing. I figured I would never get a green unless drastic measures occurred. icon_idea.gif The next contest had boosters with Thor and chance would have it, a 6 percent chance of Thor with bulk purchases. At the same time a sale on Hero Points.
Basically 200 dollars later (I know I know) I got my green covers. icon_e_biggrin.gif
Current 2 stars at 94 or close
    Lvl 94 OBW
    Lvl 94 Magneto Mar Now
    Lvl 94 Classic Storm
    Lvl 94 Thor Marvel Now
    Lvl 72 Ares
All the 2 stars are low level but fullly covered.

Notable 3 stars with at least 3 covers
    L75 Thor 4/4/2
    L41 Patch 2/5/1
    L50 Sentry 2/2/2
    L46 spidey 0/4/4
    L50 Falcon 4/3/1
    L58 Cap 3/3/3
    L55 Daken 1/3/2
    L40 Magneto 2/0/1
    L40 Hood 2/3/2
    L47 Iron Man Mod 40 0/2/2
    L50 she hulk 1/3/0
    L45 Psylocke 3/1/1
    L41 Storm 3/2/0
    L41 Doc Doom 3/1
    L41 Punisher 1/1/1
    L40 hulk 3/2/0
    L40 Black Panther 3/1/0
    L40 Loki 1/3
    L40 dare Dev 1/2/0

    4 Star
    Inv woman 3/4/1
    Wolv X 1/1/0
Again I am clearly willing to buy a cover or two or three. What is people’s advice? icon_question.gif
    Level Ares and then Thor?
    Level Thor screw Ares? icon_e_confused.gif
We hate you because you spent cash on the game, and you can diaf? icon_evil.gif
Idiot. You should level Patch or Daken or…fill in the blank. icon_twisted.gif

What about the future and these three stars?
Punisher, Hood, Sentry, Patch, Daken, Falcon, Cap?

Should I look for a team of Lazy Daken, Thor, and Falcon?

Thank you all for any advice. icon_e_wink.gif

LT + LD + Falcon is nice, but for a starter 3* team, I'd work towards LT, LD, Sentry. LT + UDaken for main climb to, say, 800-900 points. Sentry + UDaken for pre-shield blitzes.

For now, since you don't have many covers in Sentry or UDaken, I'd buy green covers to max out LT.

can't disagree with the above. LT was my first highly leveled 3* (had a 2/5/5 for a long time, so old lvl 128, now 153) and I won a lot of 3* covers just running featured/LT/OBW. If you're still seeing mostly/all 2* teams do the beginning of your climb using your 2* characters and then switch to LT/OBW near the end of your climb and your final push to whatever score you'd like to finish at. With that team I think you can reliably get to 800 points without really needing to shield hop and possibly higher depending on when you play, if you use any boosts, etc.
