Account vanished on Steam: Resolved, procedure inside.

I play on Steam. I left the game running while I was out for a few hours, came back and it was slow so I closed it and opened it again. I got the Doom intro. Closed and opened again. Still got the Doom intro.

I have deleted MPQ through steam and reinstalled it. Still don't get my account.

How do I get steam to sync my account correctly again? Preferably soon as I'd been keeping myself in top 20 contention in PVE and missing out on refreshes now is going to not be fun.

Could you please share with us how this was fixed? It can be useful for others if it happens.
In the very early days I installed mpq on a second computer, and I had to play the first few missions. Then closed the game, and when opened again, I had my progression (real account) back. Is this what you did?

On the main loading screen there's that little feedback envelope.
Click that, it will generate an email.
There will be a really long player id in the email it generates. I sent that, along with my user ID from my real account.

They were able to fix it with that.
