How is the Hunt mission scores tabulated?

I noticed that every time I complete one mission, the score rewards for all other mission in an area decreases. How the hell does it work??

    The further away you are from the highest score in the main bracket, the more points your missions will be worth. So, as you get more points, you close the gap between yourself and the highest by a small margin, so your missions are worth less.
    It's called "rubberbanding", that is, the further a rubber band is pulled back, the more forceful the snap back will be. So the further you are from the top, the more points you get.
    As far as exact calculations, god only knows lol.
