Blinking Stars???

Hi... First time poster here. Love the game but just a quick question. When you look at my roster, Mohawk Storm, Classic Daken, Modern Thor and Steve Rodgers Captain America 3 stars are blinking. Can anyone please tell me what exactly does that mean? Thanks in advance!

    They're "Gold" characters, affectionately nicknamed lazy characters on the forums. Basically they're 3* characters that are copies of 2* or 1* characters, some with one or two tweaks.

    Thanks for the quick response.

    So in theory, shouldn't Human Torch / Johnny Storm fit into that category or does just the name difference destroy that theory?

    In theory sure (and I've seen people call for Human Torch to be made Gold) but since Human Torch 3* predates the 2* version he wasn't made Gold (if anything the 2* should be labeled as Silver).
