Who to level next

Welcome to my 'who to level next' thread. There are a lot of these threads on this board but this one is different. Mainly because it is mine.

I'm currently sitting on about 105K ISO. I'm reserving 30K ISO for Sentry which leaves me with 75K ISO burning a hole in my pocket.

Here's my 3* roster.

Daken, 5/5/3, level 166
Punisher, 3/5/5, level 166
Thor, 3/5/5, level 166
Patch, 4/4/5, level 166
Sentry, 4/4/4, level 153 (currently soft capped)
Cap, 3/5/5, level 125
cMags, 5/5/3, level 125
Hulk, 5/3/4, level 114 (soft capped at 153)
Panther, 4/4/5, level 100
Falcon, 5/5/3, level 100
Psylocke, 5/3/5, level 100
Doom, 5/5, level 100
Hood, 2/3/5, level 100 (soft capped at 127)
Torch, 4/4/5, level 80
IM40, 5/5/2, level 80 (soft capped at 153)
Rags, 5/5, level 80
GSBW, 5/4/4, level 75
She-Hulk, 5/2/3, level 70 (soft capped at 127)
Storm, 2/2/2, level 65 (soft capped at 76)
Dare Devil, 3/3/5, level 55 (soft capped at 140)
Spidey, 4/3/4, level 55 (soft capped at 140)
Loki, 5/5, level 50

I feel that I have a fairly solid roster and am able to score 1,000+ points in every PVP if I'm so inclined. At this point I don't see anyone new who would earn a permanent spot in my regular rotation except for Hood after he gets a couple more blue covers. I don't really want to dump any ISO into cMags until after the nerf. Panther's probably the only other character I'd consider at this point but I'm not crazy about him.

Did I miss something? Or is my best bet to sit on the ISO, doling out a little bit at a time to the current featured character?

It's the only one that really jumped out for me. He's not amazing but that black nuke is pretty damn good.
  • 3* Cap is amazing for PVE and against Sentry, plus if you can start chaining his red he can easily topple any team in the game. . (Oh you do damage to yourself to create a 600 damage strike tile...well it's now gone)

One word for you vudu - KAW! You may want to keep his levels down so he doesn't take yellow from patch (at least until you are sold on his awesomeness), but falcon is fantastic. He's great in PVE, and works very well with all of the strike tile generators you have as your top tier. Might be a bit squishy to leave on your defensive team while shield hopping, but he's fantastic on the climb from the bottom.

Bird Guy is a fine choice too, particularly paired with Laken and/or Psyduck.

I know everyone here on the forum mostly wants to maximize everything and be the most efficient, etc. but you already have that at the top of your roster so I'm going to give you a somewhat unorthodox answer. Level who you find fun to play with. For instance I had a lot of fun tearing through people with Betsy and daken in the fresh cut tourney so I'm going to throw some levels their way to do that some more. Falcon seems like a fun addition to either Betsy or daken so I want to level him some too.

As for a more traditional answer I completely agree with what was said already. Cap is a beast in pve and gets a bad rap in pvp so you could level him. BP stood out as being maybe your next best non-maxed guy and he probably has a pvp coming up too. The "best" strategy for you now is probably to just drop levels into whoever the featured characters are so you end up with more usable guys and it usually helps place well too.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I added another 15 levels to both Cap and Falcon. I'll probably do the same with Panther if the rewards from his PVP are something I need.

Falcon is currently level 115 and I think I've reached the point where it's not worth it to dump any more ISO into him. I spent around 22K ISO and all I have to show for it is an extra 5,000 in HP and Inspiration that improves special tiles by 70 instead of 65. Not exactly a game changer. icon_e_smile.gif Plus, now yellow damage is 59 so I should keep it below Patch's 61.
