"ending time better for most European players"

its a compromise, it might end with you guys at work or school, but that means it ends when its 6am for some of us in the US. like myself.0

ending times suck for australasian players now.0

you euros are never satisfied0

We're still working more backend support in for better Tourneys in general so that this will be less of an issue worldwide. This is a make-do for now.0

The previous ending time didn't allow most European players to properly compete in tournaments, the current ending time doesn't allow most European players to properly compete in tournements. It's not much better than before.
Varying the end times seems like it would be more sensible.0 -

I'm based in the UK and for me it's much appreciated. I managed to get a decent place in a couple of tournaments finally.
I can understand the complaints to some extent, but come on people, at least changes are being made. I know other games where almost nothing changes except for the direct purpose of extracting more money e.g. another Marvel game that will remain nameless. So far this game doesn't come across like that.0 -

The new end time isnt good for just about anybody. People on the pacific coast haven't woken up, and people on the east coast are commuting to work. If anything, it's advantageous to euro time but you guys will never be satisfied.0 -
I for one am happy to see varying times that aren't just 100% US-focused. There was a time when tourney ending times were all the same, midnight EST, and that was it. And this is coming from a US-based player who routinely tries to place in major tourneys.
I'm hopeful that D3P will continue to work with Euro players, as well as APAC players (CaptainBatman, Aiolia, etc.) to offer a variety tourneys with ending times that can accommodate more players. If there are specific times (GMT) that would work best for your time zone, maybe it would make sense to post in Suggestions (or submit tickets) with those exact ideal times to see how feasible they could be? Just a thought.0 -

IceX it's good to see you are working on something for the future.0 -

i think in the end, it's just gonna be so hard to accomodate all users. someone will always be pissed off at the ending time.
the double shot tourneys end at 6am for me, and 9pm. i'll be competing in the 9pm one clearly., the 6am i've given up to the winds.0 -

When the changes hit i even made a thread congratulating you europeans for having your voice heard but now you're back to complaining...
Face it, there's only a 4 or so hour window after work but before bedtime where people can play without interruption. So now I can't ever place in the 5 am tourney (because i'm in bed), do you see me complaining? The other end time, I'm still at work (6PM). I DEAL WITH IT. You should too.0 -

i guess the issue is if the backend can handle four simultaneous tournaments running, ending at different times, without diluting the number of potential targets which will allow people to hit only the same people over and over0

Humphrey wrote:Good idea, but if they only did times that worked for me then it would be bad for someone else, that's why I think it would be good if the end times varied - like if each tournament had four (or another amount) end times you could choose from, each six hours (depending on how many end times) apart, then most people would find something that suited. That might not be feasible though.
Standard US tourney end time for this game has been midnight EST, which is 21:00 PST, and some variant of late evening for the rest of the American timezones (10PM Mountain, 11PM central). Sunday midnight is a little on the late side for our East Coast people, but it's doable. Obviously 5:00 (the equivalent GMT time) has been much harder for the Euro zone folk.
Is there no similar timeframe that would encompass at least most of Western Europe? Forgive the ignorance, as I mentioned, I am American0 -

I know Polkio wasn't complaining...0 -
but lots of people in the US participated in the first one, just didn't expect rewards, so it didn't dilute the pool.
unless the suggestion was run four tournaments that everyone could participate in. then the player pool wouldn't be diluted but the amount of rewards going out will quickly saturate the game0 -
