Started out with bad decisions, now what?

So, I think I started off with a few bad decisions in the game regarding HP and spending my initial ISO, and not sure where to go from here.

So here's where I'm at:
Full Roster (6/6)

The Hood (classic) (0/0/1)
Black Widow (modern) (5/5, Lvl 32)
Storm (modern) (5/4/3, Lvl 30)
Black Widow (orig), (0/1/2, Lvl 23)
Ares (DA) (0/1/0)
Storm (classisc) (0/0/1)

I've also got 2 rewards, Thor (MN) and Captain America (modern), and 12 tokens (7 standard, 4 heroic, 1 heavy metal) and 50 HP.

I typically run modern Storm and Black Widow, and Hood, and think I'm doing fine. I'm not sure what to do with the tokens at this point; I don't think I can use them until I clear out roster spots, right? Do I just need to grind some of the events for HP until I can buy more roster spots? Do I need to rush to spend the Heavy Metal token?

Also, if I'm selling things off, I'm assuming it should be CStorm for now, right? I know that mBW and mStorm aren't great, but powered up they seem better than my unpowered **s...

Welcome to MPQ. You need roster spots, ASAP. This is the name of the game now, and how they're trying to make money off you. They're going to throw 1* and 2* covers at you and if you're lucky enough to land a 3*...well ****, now you need ANOTHER roster spot. So you basically have two choices. You can spend some money, buy some HP and get yourself some roster spots, or you can be patient and try to earn enough HP to expand your roster slowly. That's going to be up to you.

As far as characters that are useful, you're going to want to max out on 2* Thor, Ares, and 2* Storm, and probably OBW even with the recent healing change. 1* Storm is also very useful. Those are going to be your hammers for a long time. How you go about juggling your roster to get those characters up and running while still having characters to use...well, good luck.

You only need 50 more HP to get slot 7, so I would hit a few more prologue missions to get that. Slots 8-10 come in a bundle for 400 HP. If you're going to purchase HP, that would be a reasonable time to do it. If you're patient, you can farm the prologue and use HP from progression/event rewards to save up to 400 and buy it then (shouldn't take you all that long).

Honestly, though, if you really feel like you made some bad decisions, starting over isn't a terrible idea. Lord knows I've started new play throughs for any number of games, and you're not so far along that it would be painful to do so. If you do, just save all your HP for roster slots, be very aggressive in getting progression rewards and focus your ISO on a few really good characters. Plus, do as many versus events as you can handle as you have a good chance at 1* and 2* cover rewards, which will really help you get back to your current level pretty quickly.

Do yourself a favor and forget this game for good...

If you really want to press on look up some guides with good advice on start in the tips subforum, some may be from old times but still relevant.

If you pay real money be prepared to regret it shortly as after you got hooked and you look like progressing it will start to punish you the more the better you go. What if you're dumb enough will try to compensate with even more spending.

MNMags and CStorm are a great combo to build into. The story missions have a lot of good starter rewards, so I do recommend going through those and picking up as much of the free HP as you can. HP should go to roster slots and nothing else.

In the PVE missions, a low level roster can place well, which means you can potentially earn HP in those as well. I'd stay away from the PVP until you have a few characters at max level. I know I started pvp when I had a few 1* characters doing well and was able to squeeze out a few iso and low rank rewards.

You can sell the Cap, but open a roster spot for Thor. Don't touch any tokens until you can open a roster spot if you get lucky with the draw.

Keep all 3 stars you get - they will come in handy in 6 months.

Level up Thor/Ares (see whose covers you are getting - focus on getting 1 to 94, then work the other), OBW, and Magneto/Storm from 2 star land (maybe the new Torch). Wolverine, Daken, Cap, and Hawkeye are secondary. Moonstone near worthless, Bullseye and Bagman are worthless.

Storm is the only 1 star to play with the 2 stars. IM, Widow are useful. Venom, Juggs, and Hawk have occasional uses. Yelena is worthless.

Meh bullseye is a decent support for other people in post true healing land, if you have a good duo, adding bullseye will just make them take less damage and sometimes lead to spectacular finishes
