Strategy to deal with Sentry/Daken (or Hood)

Sentry and 3* Daken (and sometimes Hood) are becoming more prevalent. While not Thorverine prevalent yet, this ifs probably because they're 3*, not 2*.

So I've been contemplating how to take them down on offense and defense.

On offense, fight fire with fire, use Sentry/Daken. But odds are you're going to have to at least one health pack, do didn't seem sustainable. Can't count on C Mags long term because of the coming Nerf. Who would be best (and sustainable) against them without having to use boosts?

On defense, if it's a lr with buffed hulk him and daken, not sure can use otherwise, especially if the opponent is using boosts. Hood might slow then down, but my Hood stinks. Does any team stand a chance if opponent is using boosts?

I have nothing to add to this discussion, really.

Although, every time I see your signature I'm like "Fire Ninja! Oh, wait.".
  • They're actually just ok on defense. I'd rather face Daken Sentry than Daken Lthor but cmag is the easiest way to deal with it for now . . . until he's neutered and thrown on the scrap heap.

As for hood, best way to kill hood is with your own hood

Additional tip for hood - don't use AP boosts, that's too risky. Use match damage boosts to drop their hood quickly. Most players have a ton of those stockpiled and forget about them in the mad dash for points.
  • Daken is very good against The Hood.

There's no clean way to deal with Daken without Magneto at this point in the game.

    Loki
    Spiderman
Bullseye (though you have to protect his squishiness)
    Hood Yellow
    GSBW Red
    Hulk
    She-Hulk
    Falcon
    Captain America

As for Sentry - he's self-injures. Protect your team and he will self-destruct and take a lot of his team with him.

    C. Storm is pretty anti sentry.

I'm pretty sure we're talking about PvP here. The only top PvP character in that list is The Hood, who is very weak against Daken in general. Hulk is the only other somewhat viable PvP character overall and he is decent against Daken but hardly a strong matchup. When Phermone Rage piles up to the point to trigger Anger, your team will be taking a serious beating which will definitely slow you down with the true healing changes. Sure, Hulk can almost always win against a heavy strike tile user by Anger, but having to burn at least 1 health pack for a victory isn't a great deal. The inclusion of all the other characters will likely put a giant target mark on your team in PvP and outside of Falcon, none of the moves that can get rid of Phermone Rage can even keep pace on an AP exchange basis in most scenarios.
