How to use shields efficiently?
I start shielding once I hit 600 points, then I hit ~5 nodes, and shield again. When I break my shield for the second time, I find that I can only afford to hit ~3/4 nodes before I have to shield again. The reason is because people start hitting me sooner and I will lose more than I gain points. When I reach 850 points I have to hit 2 nodes max before shielding. The next minute someone hits me but luckily I didn't go for a third node, if not I would've lost more than I gained.
Am I using shields efficiently? I hear of people gaining the HP spent on shields back from rewards, but I used 5 3-hour shields and 1 8-hour shield (when I was sleeping) to reach 92X points. Made a loss of 300+ HP.

I find shields more efficient if you don't use them. HP is too valuable to waste on shields that provide a minimal gain.0

Do you have maxed 3* characters? I find that with my maxed 3* teams I can usually climb to ~800 without really getting hit at all (if I can do it at once) and then sometimes even get over 900 relatively unscathed, or I start to get hit, but can grind my way up to over 900 and shield. From there, my experience is basically the same as yours in that you can really only afford to play 2 quick matches before needing to shield up again or you get hit by people with several hundred less than you and you end up losing a lot of points. At this point I skip around until I find 2 matches worth around 40 points or more, so you get the most bang for your shield-hopping buck.
iirc, when I was in 2* land, I could maybe get around 700-750 before needing to shield cause I was running into max 3* teams and starting to get hit more than I could win back quickly.
I think you should try to climb as high as you can without shielding and then just let yourself get hit for a little while. Then you can come back later when you're in the 8-hour or 3-hour window and finish your climb (you will have been hit for 200 points or so probably, depending on how high you got and how long you were away). You should at least be able to get higher than 600-something, then you can shield for the rest with a decent score. If you're close to a progression you really want, then you can maybe shield hop once or twice without losing too much HP (or sometimes even being neutral or gaining a little).0 -
I use Lv.94 Ares + OBW. Hmm I'll test later how far I can go in points before I start losing more than I gain.0

Unless you've reason to believe your bracket is especially weak there's no reason to be shielded overnight at the development stage. You're simply not getting that high of a score early on to warrant preserving it.0

If this is your main roster you are in 2* land. You are better off starting 36-24 hours before the end of the PVP and makeing a big push with under 8 hours left or 3 hours left. Use 1 8 hour shield or 2 3 hour shields. Your 2* team is too tempting to a 3* team not to hit for the points. If you can end above 700 points with 1 shield you will probably get top 10 to top 25 and get enough HP and covers to build your roster.0 -

Start early and slowly work up to 400-500. You'll probably get hit frequently but you'll have the time to make it up again. Just wait there until you make a big charge before shielding. Line up a couple of juicy targets while you're protected so you can bust out with 5-10 minutes to go if you need extra points to secure a good rank.0
