post season 3 poll and discussion

what will you do now when there is no season to work towards? + will you get more points now that there is no season or will you get more?
so what do you guys think?
i for one will only do the ones i actually need plus a token effort for the alliance ranking.

With the True Healing changes I do not have to grind nearly as much as I used to (since I don't get attacked every night and lose most of my progress any more) so I am not feeling the burnout as much as I was after S2. So I'll continue to play at the same pace which is now much more comfortable.

If seasons are really gone, I'll do what every sane person does - only play the PVPs hard that interest me.
All others I'll go up as high as possible for the progression rewards and then let myself get beat down again.
Unless someone in the alliance wants the cover, I'm not going to go to 1100 for Loki covers or some **** again.

I'll probably back off some, and - especially when it's a low-interest prize - will probably take some almost completely off. Assuming I get my three Daken covers, which will complete him, I'll have 13 of the 3*s cover complete, and really will mainly need ISO.

Bit premature innit? But IF seasons are no longer happening, which I find very hard to believe, then I'd probably stick to going hard on the ones that I need covers from and then taking it easier on others that might benefit my alliance members but not me. That means almost completely ignoring events that reward Raggie, Doom, DareDevil and the like.

I am sure seasons will be back, but if they wait at least a month it would be nice. I don't want to talk about how much or little I will play without seasons. Why give D3 a whole bunch of reasons to reinstate constant grinding when they read that everyone is NOT going to spending for awhile?

This, precisely. I've been casual for a while, since I've been placing decently with relatively low scores and I haven't seen a reward worth working for since the Doom covers given out like 4 or 5 tourneys ago. So I'll still play everything as usual (at least getting 300-400 for progression.

Of course that depends on what is actually happening in regards to seasons. No one knows that yet.

If there's no season for the foreseeable future I'll do enough to get covers I want/need and push for any my alliance need.

All I want from the game is to see where the story goes, collect characters and advance them naturally, so I'll continue going after hp for roster slots and tokens/covers as available, without having to Play Hard.

My interests at this point, if seasons are gone, are "covers I want" and "fundraising ISO".


I pushed hard in Krockash!t because I wanted 2 red IM40 covers and, in addition, the extra few thousand ISO that came from a high finish. Given that my Rags was a few levels from being completely maxed, it wasn't a huge effort to get me into contention for that.

I figure I would probably do the same in a few other select tourneys regardless of cover rewards because I need roughly 170K more ISO just to cover max the six 3*s I'm working on, only one of which has a full compliment of covers. Since two of those are Laken and Lazycap, that amount I need will spike a bit once Heavy Metal and The Hunt end.

Well I was looking forward to a break, but offering Dakan covers as a reward is gonna keep most people playing.
Now if the next reward is a shtty daredevil, Loki ect.. It will be interesting to see how many still go for big scores.

and to stay on topic, unless alliance members need it, i'll probably just run up to 900 and forget about it.

in a world with no seasons, ill still play every tourney, mostly just to farm ISO. but in events for which i do not need the covers, i doubt that ill shield at all.

I am still transitioning to a 3* team so it is about getting the 3* covers for me. I try and join 30 hours before the event ends and go for top 10 with a 3 hour shield. This way I get the covers and HP so I have roster slots. As being FTP I am trying to save up to buy a yellow Patch. True healing characters are such a plus when climbing it is a must.

I'll still play daily as I have for months, and I'll likely still hit my reasonable personal minumums. Believe it or not, I still have fun playing when I set reasonable expectations and play as intelligently as I can. Brute strength and Hero Points are not fun, so I don't do it.


As it stands I need only 17 covers. And most of them I could care less about. I'll play hard to get the rewards that actually reward me, otherwise I'll coordinate with my alliance to make top-whatever-we-want.

Chasing covers to get out of 2* land, play won't change much. God, how nice would it be to not have 20 uber players in a bracket all shield hopping to get covers they dont need for their alliances? I might even be able to get more than 1-2 covers at a time for once.

Yeah... Not gonna hold my breath on that tho. heh
