Will/Should they hold a Fury tourney after season 3?

I don't think I have seen a dedicated tourney for a 4**** but since all powers would be released, they could. Should they hold one and more importantly, will they?

They absolutely should have him featured in a PVE, seriously what was all the buildup for if they don't even care if we ever use him or not (says the guy with 0 furies)

Given that they said that this wasn't his "official" rollout, there might be an upcoming event (probably a PVE) that is, and I could see a dedicated PVP after that.

That said, I don't remember them doing one when Invisible Woman was rolled out.

I remember IceIX saying that these rewards were just a teaser and he would have a regular release pve just like any other new character. I suppose I'd take that with a grain of salt since that was over 2 months ago and it wouldn't be the first time they changed their minds on something. I seriously doubt they'll have a fury pvp if that was more what you were asking.

They'll at least put him in a token pack or something before they make him required in a PVE or even a buffed character. Imagine if you were just started playing after s3, you'd have no way of getting the cover.

Because some people will spend lots of money to get max covers for him. A maxed Fury will probably be a massive advantage as his abilities seem very powerful.

Yes the whales will do very well in a fury featured event. As they have been doing in every normal event as well. From a PR point of view releasing new 4*s but not featuring them in anything says, here have a toy but we aren't ready for you to use it yet so ... keep it on the shelf till ...sometime in the future?

If they do this then hopefully it will happen along with a new Episode.

We need a new story episode because the game is just getting really boring at the moment. I think they underestimate how much people like the story elements.

They have said repeatedly that the stories don't bring in the money.

So, until they can figure out a better way to monetize them, they are gone for good.

I expect at least a 2 week long PvE, with either a tiny kitty roster featuring both bagmen as the boosted character, or having the scaling now go up to 495, because of hte level shift. Maybe both!

Oh, and the fury covers will actually only be for the top 1/2/5. With no bracketing

Totally agree!! A new story would be fantastic and really make me excited to play again. As of now, I'm just not as interested as I used to be. I think the story element is the best part. It's almost like playing a comic. Who doesn't want that? Side note: We need more villians. It's tiresome playing against Venom and Juggs and Ares all the time. Plus playing against them just pisses me off that I have to deal with them.

When did they say that?

I know they said they see less engagement and less spending with specialized PvP such as No Man's Land or 1*/2*-only events.

I have seen IceIX say that less than 20% of the active player base has finished the prologue, so expanding the prologue is probably not in the cards.

I don't think it's about monetizing the story mode though. If people were playing it, some of those people would spend money in other parts of the game. People just aren't really playing it.

A tournament where only people in Top 100 Alliances can take part? I am going to go with not going to happen. Nor as a compulsory character in anything.

A "risk" of how this rolls out is that it would be dominated by the people who already have at least 3 covers for him; thus reinforcing the cycle. Why we've never seen any other 4* featured in anything because it's only the "top" players who have enough covers.

Do I see a PvE where he is gained? Probably at some point, yes - perhaps as a reward cover in PvE, like Sentry was a little while back.

Either way, there is probably some sort of plan for him somewhere.

But....... Why not hold an "Invitation Only" 4* character deathmatch series / round / PvP. There is a cool idea. The invitation is having enough 4* covers to not be wiped out after one match.
