POLL: Weakest Color?

Just wondering what people feel are the weakest colors. Lack of damage does not neccisarily mean weak.

This would largely depend on which characters you are using. As for the characters I use the most, I have to go with blue and yellow.

Even though Daken's purple is *too* strong, what else do we have? oBW/cMagneto - both amazing. GSBW is decent for green generation but Thor already has a green generation ability. That's it.
The rest are the likes of Moonie (now you see me, now you don't. Now I do something useful, now I don't), Bullseye and Spidey (yeah really helpful here), Falcon (not shabby actually. But too expensive to be collected on purpose), MMN (only viable with cStorm now), cHawkeye (decent ability on a one-star), Loki (you can't count on anything when Loki's around!).
Also mBW (way too expensive even at 2 covers), Yelena (just no), Daredevil (JUST NO), Bag-Man (fun, but way overpriced).

oBW and cMagneto are pulling all the weight, and Magneto doesn't even have purple match damage. So, for a decent amount of purple users/characters, we have very few actually versatile abilities on versatile characters.

I would think Yellow is the least impressive. Only Lazy Thor has a decent active yellow. Everyone else is completely meh in that category.

I would probably vote for Purple if it weren't for OBW's stealing...

that's for you to define. Do you feel one color is under represented and thus weak? Do you feel that a certain color costs too much? It's your call, I intentionally left it vague, thus allowing a broader range of inputs. If I defined as solely which color does the least amount of damage, it would obviously be blue, purple, and yellow but this lets you pick your own defintion.

I think this is a clear indication that RED and GREEN are over-represented among current Heroes.

I think you could argue Sentry's yellow as impressive. While not amazing by itself it can do some pretty scary things. In addition you can argue for Falcon and Ares yellow as being also decent to really good, and if you count wolvies healing yellow isn't terrible, but as an active skill, yeah, pretty much Thor and Ares and in a way Sentry

As far as depth goes I feel like Yellow is probably the weakest color, especially with the healing nerf to spidey. However, Thor's yellow alone is so strong that I feel like the other decent yellows (Sentry, Patch, Falcon) are enough to push a different color to "weakest". For me that color is Purple. I'm out of 2* land so I don't have to care about OBW anymore, so I'm not giving full value to her purple, which is quite possibly the best purple ability in the game. The only other good Purple abilities are Daken's (obv very good), Mags' (also quite good, but not one you usually worry about if he's on defense), and GSBW's (again not great on defense due to inept AI). Maybe Fury will be strong enough to bring Purple up higher, but for now I don't know enough about it. Black would probably be next after Purple and Yellow, since BP, Doom, Hulk, Psylocke, Punisher, and OBW (again discounted due to 2*) all have good to great (but not amazing) black abilities. Wouldn't be surprised to see Blue fall down the rankings after the Mags nerf, but for now Hood, Mags, and Daken have strong enough Blue abilities to keep it just below Green and Red.

Well, now that I've written it down I'm starting to think maybe Yellow IS the weakest with Purple next. I might be slightly biased since I use Thor a lot and imo his Yellow is his best ability (sure CotS is the show-stopper, but Thunder Strike gets you there so much faster) so that is clouding my judgment. Either way those are pretty clearly the 2 worst, and that's what I voted for.

I should have said among "good or effective" Heroes to qualify the statement as well.

This is probably the biggest issue with purple, and why taken as a whole it could be considered the weakest color. Purely by the numbers there might appear to be a representative number of purple powers, but in practice that isn't really true. Two of those are Daken's purples, which have nothing to do with the color purple in any way. Four are on 1* characters, and five more are on character that are considered among the worst of the worst (Bagman, Bagdevil, Bagstone, Bagseye, and...Bagloki?). Polarity Shift and Deceptive Tactics are just ways of turning purple into other colors, because let's face it you don't really want that purple do you?

What purple has going for it is Aggressive Recon, for which an argument could be made is the most powerful ability in the game (certainly when combined with Espionage), and CMags' nuke. I'll let someone with more than one cover in Escape Plan speak for Fury. I simply don't know. The leftovers are Bird Strike and Spider-Sense, which aren't sexy. Because defense doesn't cave in people's faces, red and green powers do.
