this was right before we saw human candle. We DO NOT know that said 3* female is an x-men. We just know than an x-men is coming soon.

Ah, cool. I did try to keep x-men and female and 3-star and Dark Reign and popular as mutally exclsuive factors.

I honestly think that Mystique is about the best fit for the most of those factors.
White Queen & Rogue would both be good candidates if not already deconfirmed.
Jean Grey fits a lot of those, however I think people expect Phoenix as a 4* and will be upset if she's not.

Of course, they could release Jean as a 3* with non Phoenix related powers. Personally, I'd actually rather a 2* Marvel Girl, but that's not going to happen.

Mystique could have a double tap attack ala OBW, a shape change attack (countdown tile) that makes the enemy team do match damage to itself while the countdown is on the board, and a gun attack ala GSBW.

I would love to see a real Ms. Marvel in the game in any one of her incarnations. She's badass, and particularly good if we can get another character with good black/purple powers out of it. If they turn her into a 3* Lazy Moonstone, I might quit. That would hurt my feelings very badly.

My problem with Angel is that he is too perfectly built for their "lazy" system. 3* Archangel (Classic) followed by 2* Angel (Warren Worthington III).

Any Latino heroes out there? 50 million people in the U.S. speak Spanish. Couldn't hurt.

The current Ms. Marvel could also add some diversity, but she would really be stretching the "dark reign" thing.

Indeed. I asked just before Sentry + Shulk + Mohawk were announced, and at the time he (and all of the Guardians of the Galaxy) was deconfirmed.
There's nothing to say that they've changed their minds since then, and the GotG lineup from the movie could all fit within MPQ fairly well. I think the biggest reservation is that they don't fit the Dark Reign setting at all. It seems like a redundant argument to make, after IW and HT, but they keep coming back to it, so I figure it's got to have some weight. I think I'd most like Rocket Raccoon too, since he's got such a "videogame character" feel about him already, but I have a hard time imagining him with a moveset that's not simply a copy of Punisher.

I can see the setting argument, though I'm not really sure how important it is in the long run. Especially with new story content getting sparse.

It's strange...I know over at Marvel Heroes the devs are encouraged to use characters that Marvel is pushing. Moon Knight and Ghost Rider were added right about the time their new comic books started up, Loki was added in time for Thor 2 and Star-Lord will be in around the time GotG gets to theatres. I wonder why Marvel doesn't seem to have as much input with releases in this game?
