Hey everyone! This is the new official chat thread for the ActiveEventPpl alliance.

We currently have one open spot. PM me if interested, elfritobandito9 (in game Theralif1) Great group, friendly people. Competitive but we understand real life. We focus on PVE and can hit top 100 when we have a full group that is engaged.

Rules:

1. You cannot be inactive in any alliance event for more than 2 days (if you will be unable to play and you let us know, as long as it's a reasonable amount of time it's okay. Just let us know!)
2. You must post scores for every Alliance event.
3. Due to the matchmaking we have made pvp optional. While it is highly recommended that you get 300 at least for your token, it is not required until matchmaking is fixed.
4. Minimum score for PVE events must be 1/3rd of the highest score within the alliance.

We want people to have fun and not kill themselves on the game, but at the same time, we want to win some good stuff! So let's all put a good effort and try to get into those top spots!

Our current goal in PvE Story events is just to make top 100-150 for the cover reward, right? I'm not questioning the 1/3 mark at all, I think that's a fine mark. I am curious about where the commanders see us going longterm. Will it be enough to hit the cover threshold, or are we going to continue marching our goals higher until we become a hardcore alliance jockeying for position in the top-25?

The PVP threshold for an Alliance cover (top-100) seems harder to achieve. On the other hand, the rewards are much more frequent - with one alliance reward every 2.5 days rather than every 7-10 days for PvE story events. And, of course, the PVP reward is immediately usable in the next 2 1/2 day PVP.

I appreciate the flexibility regarding PVP. The either/or priority makes it attainable. Otherwise, during story events, it can be hard do both without investing 3+ hours per day. At that point, it requires such an investment of time that it can lose its fun and become a burden.

So it's worth considering how much TIME PER DAY we expect of our members. We did not begin as a hardcore alliance, so is that eventually where we are going?

Good questions Ski. I didn't discuss with Darth but I feel I can speak for both of us when I say no, we don't intend to keep pushing our goals to become a hardcore alliance. I came into the commander role simply feeling that there was a lot of low hanging fruit we weren't grasping. Now with some new additions to the team it makes perfect sense to push for top 100 in PVE. In my mind I'm happy if we simply hit that mark consistently. PVP should remain optional unless there is a big change there.

I'm glad I play this on my laptop/Steam. I have a 2nd account on my phone that I play just for kicks when I'm on the bus, and it is completely broken since I updated to Android 5.0 yesterday.
