How do I start over from scratch?

So, I've been playing for about a week or so. Of course I wasted all of the free resources that I started with & now that I've been playing for a while, I'd like to restart the game on my ipad, but I can't figure out how.

I've tried deleting & reinstalling the app. I've tried changing Game Center accounts. I've tried both together.

I can't find a reset button in the game anywhere...

I searched the game forum for nearly an hour looking for how to do it. I found a lot of posts talking about the relative merits of restarting & rerolling, but none that actually say how to do it.

Please help.

  • ...nobody knows?
  • There is zero merits to re-rolling. This game is unlike others, "getting lucky" and drawing a rare cover does nothing to improve your performance in the short-term.

The game is pretty much "on rails", and there are no real shortcuts. Progression is measured in months and not weeks.

  • Rerolling is obviously the wrong word, however I did waste a lot of HP early on. I'd rather start over & make better decisions & I can't believe that the Devs would prefer that I just quit this early on instead of just starting over & potentially becoming a long term player.

Again, my question is HOW do I start over on the iOS version, not whether or not I should.
  • I would assume you'd have to completely restore your iPad to it's original specs. Most games will not recognize your device as the same device and will let you start over. The only problem is that it'll also wipe out the rest of your applications and information since you do not want any previous data to come back.

In a couple of threads it sounded like restarting is a lot of work, but in other games people talk about switching Game Center accounts as a lot of work too...

I'll see if I can find some quotes of people talking about it.

On android I can delete the game data manually then uninstall/reinstall the app. This erases all evidence of my progress wland starts me from scratch. I did this with a secondary account for the game a month or so ago. Not sure if you can do that on iOS or not.

All you have to do is clear the game data. Don't have to uninstall game or restore iPad. I don't know how to do that on an iPad but i'm sure its not hard.
  • I also would like to know how to reset using my iPad. my son deleted two of my highest covers by mistake. AHHHHHHH... after all this time....

Can someone PLEASE help me reset my iPad?

Deleting the game from iOS devices usually removes the game stored data, unless, those data are stored in iCloud. Here are the steps to delete saved games data in iCloud.

Make sure you’ve deleted the games you want to reset. Some of those games will push the local saved data to iCloud even if you’ve deleted the data in iCloud.
Access those saved games data in Setting > iCloud > Storage & Backup > Manage Storage.
Select Show All to view all the saved data. You’ll see non-games app in this location too because it shows all your iCloud storage.
Tap on the games you want to reset.
Tap Edit at the top right.
Tap Delete All to delete the saved games data.

I wish I knew how to reset my Steam progress since I started a new account to experiment with things.
  • I have the same question, since the above solutions don't work.

I play the game on my phone, and my daughter wants to play the game on my iPad, using an account of her own.

So far I've tried deleting the game (several times) from the iPad (and checked iCloud, just in case), deleted my Facebook account on the iPad, created a new Facebook account, logged in using it, tied it to the newly installed game that still syncs using the username in the game I had used previously.

So now my phone and iPad are synced to different Facebook accounts, and I now have a game that's tied to two accounts. I just want a new install and new account for my iPad. Preferably without reformatting the iPad and setting up new iTunes and Gamecenter accounts.

    Any ideas?
  • I tried all of the recommendations for resetting the game on my iPad. Nothing works. Sooooo frustrating

You could try contacting Customer Support and asking if there is something they can do or instruct you to do.
  • I did. When you call, (617) 354-7772, you either have to search by name or go to the operator. No one ever answers the operators phone. It just rings and rings and rings. I also sent emails to info@demiurgestudios.com and bizdev@demiurgestudios.com. I have yet to get a reply back. Thx for suggesting

    Try submitted a ticket here: https://d3publisherofamerica.zendesk.co ... quests/new

I've recent saw HiFi (our new Community Manager) post this link, so I'm going to guess that's the best bet. Sorry for not including it earlier.
  • I thought in order to start from scratch you needed to use a different facebook account. So the easiest way would be to start a new facebook account, download the game on another device then activate that game by locking it to the new facebook account then on your original device link to the new facebook account. Or you maybe able to delete the game then reinstall and quickly link to the new facebook account. I haven't tried this but I thought it was posted in the FAQ thread. Could be way off. Sorry. Good luck.
