There will still be four and a half days left after Loki. Doesn't that mean we're getting one more event after The Adventures of Birdman and Friends?
Yes, of course. There will be a tournament starting Friday and ending with the season.

What, you doubt that they'd have a 2* featured tourney?

I doubt it. They want people to spend HP leveling up covers. The only way to ensure that is to provide people exactly one cover.
Most people aren't going to buy any covers for a 1/1/1 4* character because it's essentially wasted HP. Going 2/1/1 (or any other combination) isn't going to do much. However, once you have multiple covers for any particular color then it becomes more enticing to spend HP on the last few.

Let's use some popular 3* characters as examples--no one recommends buying your fourth Lazy Thor yellow or Hood blue because the return is fairly minimal. However, there are lots of people on this board that would recommend spending some HP on the fifth cover for those powers.

Whales are going to pay to max Fury regardless. They make up a very small portion of the people willing to spend money. There are many more players who are willing to spend HP (and real dollars) on a couple covers if they feel it will make a difference.

I'm not sure if that's true. I've seen a few blue/purple maxed Furys, more than I expected too considering the $200 cost. But I guess the appeal is that a max Fury is the exclusivity, which is lost by making him available every season. I guess we'll see soon enough though.

I can guarantee that D3 has made more money selling one or two 3* covers to people than they have selling ten covers to people. The majority of people are unable or unwilling to drop the cash necessary to purchase ten covers. The number of people willing to spend a few bucks to obtain the last cover or two outnumber the first set by at least a factor of ten (if not one hundred).
  • My prediction new 4* for season 4, but fury will be the first place prize in every event for a while

More likely he'll just go into the 4* rotation with Bagwoman and X-Farce. There's more to gain for them from keeping him rare and demand high for a while.

I can see that for 3* covers, but at 2500hp a pop do you think it's as true for 4*? It seems to me that the people willing to buy all their covers are still going to buy them, but more selective customers are probably put off by the price tag, even for a single cover.

Definitely hoping for Professor X or Phoenix, but we've gotten more clues towards Void and Iron Patriot. Either way I think if they don't do a new 4* people will run for the hills. I know I'm taking a break after S3 no matter what the reward is.
  • If they choose another four star and put fury in the first prize rotation it will completely remove my interest in season play. The ten packs are nice but really not that helpful. The exclusive cover of fury keeps me considering season. If he can be won in three days instead of thirty how much does three months of commitment matter. Personal I'm hoping for a new character. I don't want to wait a year for a maxed fury. If they keep running fury it extendsthe timeline and the possibility of a four star transition. Another vote for professor x.

Definitely more money to be made introducing a new four star.

There are a lot of people out there in a top 100 alliance that don't have a prayer of hitting first place in PVP or PVE events.

The season 4 prize should be that there are no more seasons. Hands down the worst aspect of this game by a country that being said, it'll be a new 4* character and fury will be rolled into the wolverine/in is woman rotation. Fact

Why are seasons bad? To me, the Progression Awards are welcome freebies. Is it Alliance pressure to earn top placements that ruins it for you?
  • I think it is time for the dinosaur cover to be available !

I think it also a possibility that they make Fury the 1300 progression reward only. Instead of people spending HP on individual covers for him they'll end up spending HP shield hopping to get him. This would keep him rare but still obtainable by those willing to put the effort (and HP) into getting him. Could be more lucrative for D3 to do it this way as i'm sure more people are willing to spend 75 HP on a shield hop than 2500 on a single cover.

If not mistaken IceIX did mention Osborn in one of the threads. He could be the first 4* villain

If he gets the same skills as Fury just with different colours I'm finally done with this game.

I still secretly hope for 4* deadpool... but looking at my alliance rank, I'd be rather frustrated that we won't reach any of its covers in the next 3-4 months....

Since there is no white or silver color in the game, perhaps he might share the same colors as Psylocke (if we follow the colors on the armor suit).
