Just started and need some help

I just started a few days ago and I'm sort of lost. For my first free pull I got Invisible Woman. I was pretty stoked to get a 4* out the gate until I realized I would need multiples of her in order to unlock all her abilities. At this point I'm not exactly sure if a 4* is actually that good if there's not a consistent way to upgrade them. There's no guarantee that even if I dropped some cash that I could even be lucky enough to pull another one of her let alone another copy that had a different power. Is there some way later on to unlock powers without getting copies of her cover?

I guess this could apply to any character that isn't common or a reward from a quest.

    Well, somehow lost my reply so I'll try the tl;dr version.

    Your IW will actually be useful just for the hp and match damage until you get close to a max 1* team.

    IW and X-Force aren't vey highly regarded but the only way to get more are lucky token pulls, 1st in the 2.5day pvp (versus) events, or top 2 in the (usually) longer pve (story) events. You also get some as your daily supply much much later if you're still playing then.

    3* characters are also rare in that you won't be getting many from tokens, but instead you will rely on placing well in pve and pvp events to get enough covers to make them useful.

    As you acquire more covers, you will be pinched for roster slots. Always keep 3 and 4* covers. 2* drop pretty often so you could drop those if really needed. You should always drop Moonstone and Bagman if you acquire them.

    Unfortunately, you need to obtain the covers to unlock the abilities. This applies to every character. However, IW is a subpar character, despite being a 4*. Many 3*, could even say a few 2* characters overshadow her in many ways. Barring match damage and HP.

    I would just hold on to her as she is occasionally a required character for PvE events. Don't worry about anything but building up your 1* characters. Although given how often you can get 2* characters now, I would focus on building a good 2* character over this.

    IW out of the gate is pretty good to have until you get 1-stars together. she'll have more HP than level 1 characters
