How Do Recruit Tokens Choose Tokens Exactly

I have 99 (normal) recruiWhen I get a new token how does it work. Does it stack up on top of the other tokens is it always random or how does it work

I hope some of you may be able to understand

Iirc, it rolls the rarity, then rolls the cover inside it. Microtom had some cheat that showed that the token actually isn't registered to your account unto it talks back to the server

I have no knowledge of how this actually works, but to explain what spoit is saying this is what he means:

First the game does a roll to determine 1*, 2*, 3* or 4* rarity. For Heroics it's like 0%, 78%, 18.5%, 3.5% or something close to that. So, it "rolls" those percentages, gets a rarity (say 3*, yay!), well now it rolls again to determine which individual cover it is. There's something like 22 3* characters, but 3 only have 2 covers, so there are 63 covers total (I might be off, but it's just an exercise for explanation so it doesn't matter how correct it is). There is an equal chance for each cover, so it "rolls" a 63-sided die essentially, and when that's done it shows you which cover it gave you.

As for the microtom cheat thing, I don't quite understand that part either. Maybe the "roll" is done locally and the results are sent back to the server to update your account? so there is a way to (cheating, don't do this) interfere and change the data sent back to the server to give yourself whatever cover you want. Again, I know nothing about this, so it's just a guess to what he meant.

I feel like I've had more success recently getting 3*s from standard tokens then from the special event tokens. All in all I think tokens are a joke these days...little more than bonus iso.

If you check the thread with the odds for tokens I think it works out 6 or 7 standard tokens is about the same as 1 heroic token, and since you actually get way more standard tokens than heroic ones it's not unlikely to get more good stuff from them just because you're opening way more of those.

Maybe if you're looking at just the 3* drop rate (IIRC, 3%ish for standards vs a bit under 20 for heroics), but anecdotally, I've had much better luck with a 10 pack than with a batch of like 50 standards. Though yes, the 10 packs do have a slight boost.
