It's come to this unfortunately. At the end of season 3 i will be stepping down from my alliance. I think for me, the magic has gone from the game. It's just not the same anymore. I have stopped playing PVE as i just can't be bothered with it anymore. I still enjoy PVP for the most part and will continue to play, but in all honesty, probably only the events i want to from now on. Loki rewards? Hmmm i will sit this one out.

I have stayed this long mainly for my alliance and the people who i have met, who i will continue to talk too on FB. Some great guys who i have spent most of my free time talking to. Jack, Doug, Bow and Alexiel to name a few. But the truth is even alliances has lost it's sparkle to me. I feel that the game is going backwards and nothing is been done to improve it except changes that apparently "we" asked for. Where are the new features? the new modes? How long will it take before we get a 1* version of Captain America?

The forum too is full of negativity which is why i don't post much anymore. There is only so many threads i can read about True Healing before it gets tiresome. This place used to be fun to be around but now many of the ones i talked to are gone or don't post as much. Clintman, Wyp, HailMary,Dlaw and Panda. I miss them. Now it's full of spam and xmen troll threads. Same old stuff every single day. I will still post, but not as much. I couldn't deprive you of my awesomeness.

I see the game dying. Slowly. But it's dying. They don't or won't listen to us. Never have, never will. That's the sad part. So caught up trying to make money, they have forgotten where their success came from. Arktos, and all his $1000's.......and some other people. Mainly Arkto's though icon_e_biggrin.gif I would love nothing more than to see the game improve and make me wanna play it longer. Make me wanna play PVE, but that's not going to happen anytime soon, if at all.

So that's it really. I will still be around posting scores so i better not get attacked by any of you. I will join whatever alliance needs my points after season 3. A free role. Helping those that need it. I am like Mother Teresa and Gandhi combined. Imagine their love child. IMAGINE IT. Anyway, thank you all for keeping me company and for the laughs i've had. I will continue to lurk and post the odd message but until then its bye-bye icon_e_wink.gif

    You'll be back if/when the game is fun again.

    MPQ is probably their biggest hit to date, the future of D3P is probably being challenged by a financial success of the game. So they will have to listen to us. And the changes are made quickly lately.

    It's sad to see the veterans leaving... but I hope you continue to play. When I cut back my PVE and just focus on pvp, I realised that I feel better with the "casual play". And the enjoyment return.

    Well I'm glad that you're still deciding to play the game, but this time on your own terms and not when d3 dictates you to play. I agree with you for the most part, and have been playing casually for a while now. I still very much enjoy the game now that I can play the game without stress. But yeah, the forum whining can get tiresome.

    @Nonce, sorry to go offtopic, but I appreciate the work you do, especially after so many mods have fallen. Honestly, I would love to see what happens if you went on strike and the forums became a landfill of spam. Force d3 to increase anti-spam measures or something.

    I miss you too buddy. There are lots of fun memories from the game and the forum. Sadly, real life is keeping me away more than anything. Entertaining a 8 month old, 3 year old and 7 year old during the summer months is the most time consuming pve I have ever participated in. Once school is back in session I might pick up MPQ again but for now it is on a long list of things that require too much attention for me to enjoy.

    I have the same thoughts too. Instead of starting my own thread, I'd just piggy-bag on your thread since you hit on a point that I was thinking of: guns for hire.

    I already told my alliance (Ars 199999) that I will be going casual after Season 3. I will only be going for events that have rewards that interests me (goodbye, tournies that give Loki/Rag covers). I will probably announce my availability for alliances that wish to get a boost in PvP. PvE is still a no-go land for me, since I am based in the UK, and TheLadder's retirement post pretty much echoes my sentiments on PvE end times.

    Hmm, maybe we should set up a guns for hire / bench-warmers' alliance that we can park in while not out being hired.

    Just chiming in to say that it you will be missed, but definitely do what you need to if the game/changes/forums are wearing you down.

    To add to the death portion of the game, let me add as a relatively new player who was lucky enough to be recruited into Django, I am witnessing the death happen quickly.
    Django boasts some serious vets with deep rosters and it is obvious to see what is happening, burn out/loss of interest on a wide scale. I doubt DU is unique and this is probably happening across the board.

    For me personally, a struggling 2* player, the true healing change was a dagger to the heart. MPQ was one of the most interesting mobile games to me precisely because using healing one could extend play for long periods of time. Now its just another mobile game where we have to wait for energy. This is no different than CoC or DK or any of the other **** out there now.

    So yeah, without new content, better odds for 3* and diversification this game is going to be dead soon. No two ways about it unfortunately.

    I think the biggest death knell was when the switched from bonus ISO and HP for being in an alliance to covers. This destroyed the single player and for new players not on the forums, the ability to get into a decent alliance sucks.

    I'd say, more specifically, when they added rewards for being in an alliance, and when they added points for spending more money in pvp. Forcing people to play a ridiculous event over and over for things they don't need makes people quit. And in droves

    As for BF, i havent actually played it in 2 weeks hence why i have a **** leader. I just log in to get my reward. I may play it today though icon_e_smile.gif
