Sentry and Ldaken

If I plan to use them both, always, and only on defense, never on offense, what would be the best build for Sentry?, are 5 points on yellow really needed considering ldaken will be the damage amplifier here?. Can then I use those points on red?

I'll never attack with that combo so self damage is not important.

Well, yellow is much more likely to fire on defense than red, so 5 in yellow is more desirable.

Red on defense if he gets a good cascade is such a pain in the butt. All that damage makes me look at using health packs all the more sooner.

I used to think 5 yellow was the way to go, but 3 yellow with world rupture pretty much one-shots the opposing team anyway, so I'm thinking 5 red might be a good backup plan if green/yellow matches are slow to come.

3/5/5 is the build I most commonly see used.

I thought I wouldn't attack with that combo either, but offense is so quick Laken gets out unscathed mostly, and Sentry only needs his health pack every 4-5 matches, as long as you don't use red.

As long as mag has the possibility to overwrite any tile, sentry is useless on d.. moreover, mag mitigates world rupture with his shields.. it even happened that i got more damage inflicted to my team than the opponent's one..
  • Supernova isn't weak, but World Rupture and Sacrifice is just on another tier compared to Supernova.

If you can somehow force another guy to use Magnetic Field defensively that's already some of the best defense you can get in the game given Magnetic Field often ends the game in under 5 turns when used offensively. Nobody can defend against Magneto successfully at this point so there's no use to worry about him for a defensive team.
