So I've been playing every 2.5 hours for a little bit, I didn't do the maths but it seemed sound to me.
So I went on this afternoon and did each node once and was going to wait the 2.5 hours. I suddenly noticed the current sub event had 10 minutes left. So instead of farming the 1000+ nodes I'd been doing the lower point nodes one at a time and now they weren't worth as much. I did what I could...but I finished kinda low.

Now I'm ranked 60th when before I splurge on 1000+ nodes would get me in the top 30 at least. There doesnt seem to be any scaling in the home stretch to this event, best I can get is 400 points once. Oh well...
