Cannot progress in PvP

Ever since a couple of weeks ago, I've been unable to participate in PvP, because for some reason, the game kept matching me with people having cards of 100+, sometimes in the case of 212/141/141. I simply have no chance defeating these players, as the highest level of my cards are but 85 (94 now, after the update.)

I sent a support request, and a week later came the canned reply: that the game matches players on similar ranks and since I have done exceptionally well before, I would be matched with players with cards substantially higher than my own.

Except I haven't. The best I have ever done in PvP is top 20, and that I have done that maybe only once or twice, beating level 100+ cards with boast. Most of the time I belong to the Top 100 group, beating follows level 85s; occasionally I push hard, get lucky and end up in top 50. I simply don't consider myself doing 'exceptionally well'.

After this happened, I managed to land in something like Top 200 once, and after that, I simply cannot progress at all. I'd be matched with 212/141/141 players even when I haven't started, sitting at 0 point in a PvP event. I missed out a few PvP events altogether, but I am still matched against these people with insanely high level cards compared to mine.

So what gives? At this rate, my best option is actually to quit this game. I simply cannot do anything in PvP, effectively got shut out from this part of the game.

I'm feeling the heat too my top card right now is only level 56 and I'm getting matched up with level up to 100s too. It's getting really hard to play the game especially since I'm broke and can't sink anymore into this game.
