juggernaut/venom/analyst

Hey Guys,

Just wondering what your strategy is for this group. The problem is the Analyst is feeding the other two, so I get stunned every second turn, and headbutt after 3 turns. They are currently at lvl 125 on my node, so even with a maxed punisher, wolverine and obw, it takes too long to take any one down.

Also, jugg's Crush makes it really difficult to get traps to stay alive for Daredevil. It's a tough fight. Fortunately, mine is still low enough level that I can just power through it. At some level, venom switches from single stun to team stun, which will make it a lot worse for most.

agreed. do your grind, then do that last with boosts. If you survive, cool, if not, oh well. Come back in 2.5 x Grinds and your dudes will be healed.

Not sure your enemy levels but I took out Jugs first while building red/green for Wolvie. Then I could deal with the other two easier. Rather this fight than the magic cascade into World Rupture + Sacrifice. Quickest use of 3 health packs ever.

The levels are 125. Juggernaut has 10k life, analyst has 5k. I usually go after analyst first because she's giving the others a free ride. As for the Sentry, for me, that's an easy fight because OBW can increase rapture countdown and wolverine can basically take him out in one turn. That sacrifice usually doesn't do much for the others unless moonstone gets off a red.
  • Ideally you'd want to espionage on purple to slow down their purple and then steal enough red for a Retribution on the analyst. In practice, I just try to match whatever I can that'll take out the analyst first before you take way too much damage.
  • I usually take Juggernaut out first and leave the countdown generator for last (except for the Maggia muscle, that one creates absurdly strong strike tiles).

You see, I was matching Blue. Made two matches actually. Then the Magic Cascade from on high happened. On that day, not a single blue was given.

I was doing my first clear and got to that node. I was sure it couldn't be as hard as folks said. Went in with Pun/Wolverine/oBW unboosted, wiped in quite a humiliating fashion (non-stop Snares and Headbutts). Tried to go with my Bagdevil/She-Hulk/oBW next, deployed 4 traps. Cue Juggernaut destroying 3 of them, including 2 Ambushes.
Gave up for a time, finished my clear on Essential nodes, came back to this one, boosted +3 blue/purple, +3 green/black, +1 all, was able to Recon red fast, take out Analyst, Adamantium Slash Juggs and then deal with Venom without much pain.
The best strategy is indeed not to touch that node until it's the only one you have left.
  • I've had better luck targeting down the analyst first. Better, but not great. End up winning it every time except the first, but the last time I took two headbutts by turn 3. Red generation and a ridiculous cascade was pretty brutal. After she got got, I didn't take another header for the rest of the match.
  • the Sentry/Aries/Daken node just hit level 180 so I guess I'll be skipping that node as well. Is this all from community scaling? It seems that my nodes are gaining really high levels, but I only make a pass every 2.5 to 3 hours

"what your strategy is for this group?" Skip. Not worth the frustration and damage to your health.
  • I save it for last before I know I'm going to put the game down. Because I know that I will be taking a beating, so my heros will be healed back up by the time I am ready to do another run.

I take out the analyst first and deny red, then use that red with Wolvy's claws to take down Juggs (who will have probably launched two headbutts at this point). Then all that is left is Venom, who might get a Devour off, but that's it.

Mine were in the 130-140 range as of this morning.
  • Not that I'm blowing my own trumpet but I've not been having trouble with this node. SO long as you get rid of the analyst quickly you should be able to clear up the rest although my health has taken a beating after it. I'd agree with the save it till last scenario
  • I always aim for the Analyst first, then Jugg then Venom using Punisher, OBW and Storm. The only reason I have Storm in there is for her red in case there are a lot of environment tiles out, which usually creates some nice cascades including one that was AI-worthy. It knocked out Analyst and put a decent dent into Jugg while giving me enough AP to let out Punisher green, black, 2x red and OBW purple. Otherwise, I aim for red to prevent headbutts, then greens to get enough for Punisher, then focus on purple and blue for OBW to double dip on strike tiles. Once they get within 40%, Punisher again to take em out with red.

In general, on nodes that have 1 goon, I take the goon out first while denying the cheapest colors for the other team. If the node has 2 goons, I take out the non-goon first since countdown tiles are easier to deal with using OBW's blue.

With the amount of damage Wolvie can bust out when he's boosted, you were probably actually better off trying to get another four and going for an Adamantium Slash - 4500 damage (plus strike tiles if you get them out) puts a big dent in Juggs or Venom.
  • True. I didn't try him, but I kind of liked the flexibility that Storm gave me. I'll give him a shot on the last set of nodes.
