Lightning Rounds and Season Points Question

I originally thought all VS battles contributed toward your points for the season; however, I recently started participating in lightning rounds and haven't seen any of the points I've earned added to my season totals. Is that suppose to be the case?

    Yes because otherwise some people would gain an advantage by staying up for 48 hours and playing every LR and increasing their score way above what others can reasonably catch without doing the same thing. It might seem like the devs don't like the players much sometimes, but they certainly don't hate us enough to encourage that behavior.
