Last hour sucker-punch in PVE

With True healing nerf changes i humbly request the Dev's to look into PVE rubber-banding, This event and last more than ever its apparent its broken.I have always done nodes highest points gets prority after intial first backwards clear to max points.I do all nodes till under 100 points, catching every refresh.Yet now days of maximizing points gets me pushed outside top 25 during last hour, whilst im still grinding and those passing me just doing nodes once, its a double insult cuz none of them are ever above 2 star roosters. Why not just save the temptation and include banner saying, your wasting your time, you'll only place top ten if you start last hour...Are there plans to remedy this eventually or should i go against basic logic of any rewards system and just do as the weekend players do?

If you're grinding, nobody is passing you just by doing nodes just once. You're doing your nodes in the wrong order (always do lowest points first)

What do you mean by "always do the lowest points first"? Do you mean we find the node with the lowest point value and work our way up? What's the point of that? I currently do it at random, so if I can get more points, or if there's a better way to do it, I'd like to know.

Eh no...I can't say for certain that highest to lowest is the only way to go but highest to lowest definately works just fine.

Rubberbanding gets less and less, and eventually goes away, as you get closer to the leader. So for example, supposing that at 1000 points behind the leader you get no rubberbanding, and there's three nodes with a base value of 100 points, and three nodes with a base value of 500 points.

If you do the highest point nodes first, by the time you get close to the leader you only have 100 point nodes left, and you can't catch up. But if you do the lower point nodes first, when you get near the leader you'll have nodes worth 500 points left and have a better chance to overtake him
  • Oh, I didn't notice at first that you said you were grinding down to 100 on every refresh - that used to make sense, but with the new point system, it doesn't work well, so that could also be part of the problem

1000+800+600+400+200 every six (or whatever) hours is less points than 1000 every 2.5 hours!
  • If you're going to do a lot of nodes you might as well go from lowest to highest because you always want to do the node worth the most as late as possible. Having small movement in your points also makes it hard for people ahead or behind you to tell how much points you have left. It's easy to see when someone's score jumped by 1K and you know they must have done one of their big missions, but much harder to notice that if you were doing say a 100, 125, and 200 point mission and this can mislead your competitors.

But if you're only going to do 3 nodes, then doing something like 350 325 300 versus 300 325 350 is not going to make a difference. You'd have to do a lot of the really low value nodes to get the most out of this and it's probably overkill most of the time.
