Dark avengers heroic rank question

Im currently 4th overall with 11th place 10000 points behind... Is that a large enough gap to stay within the top 10? Basically can they catch up easilly or is 10000 a decent gap?

10K can be made up pretty easily with a full sub to go.

10K going into the final 12 hours might be enough.

Hard to say at the moment.

It'll depend on how hard the last nodes are rubberbanded. It's possible to make up that kind of difference

It all depends on whether the final nodes in the main event are repeatable. No matter your score, top 10 will depend on your ability to play in the final hour if that is the case.

It's like on Wheel of Fortune when the final puzzle letters are worth $6000 apiece. Basically, all the work performed up to that point becomes irrelevant.
  • depends on how the main nodes are

They surely wouldnt make the final 12 hours a free for all, anyone can win, mad dash...would they?

  • Not sure why people are always expecting to have last minute bailout nodes when it's only happened in TaT and Heroic Oscorp, so the odds of betting on that is not very good. For all we know the main mission nodes might not even be repeatable.

But let's just say there are last minute bailout nodes. It's only going to be available for 12 hours since that's when the next sub ends. Looking at the main bracket it's probably going to be 2 essential easy nodes that everyone with She-Hulk will do, so you get no advantage there. There's probably going to be 2 or 3 easy nodes with irrelevent points, so those are no good. Call Him Ragnarok is likely worth a lot of points but it'll probably feature something crazy too like a level 395 Ragnarok or maybe 3 level 200 guys. So there are about 2 mystery nodes that may or may not actually help you.

They did in the Hulk event... And a few others.... so any bets their quota on this exhausted? icon_e_wink.gif

Although The Hulk looks like a FFA at the end, the points in that event got so high that everyone outside of top 100 was getting 10X on every mission in the main bracket anyway, which means the rubberband might as well not be there. I'm not sure what the guys at the top were doing, but I think I finished around 150 and don't recall any of my main missions ever going below the 10X mod.

Heh? For those who kept grinding endlessly in the last day, sure. For those who not so much meant to get their position and lead annulled completely. As it was unbracketed the top100 was not the interesting arena for most players but the tiers under that down whatever:

    Top 200 - X Force
    201-1000 new 3* Thor
    1001-3333 Y/G Thor
    3334-6666 G Thor

Dropping out of any of those was all too simple due to 30% of total event points gainable in last leg.

I know I did. I would up somewhere around the 8000 mark and missed LazyThor entirely.

In hindsight, it was the first "gently nudge" that I needed to get into an alliance.
