Oscorp missions: difficulty raised?

I was working through the Oscorp prologue missions earlier today. Since I had replayed the earlier missions heavily, all the early missions were marked Trivial or Easy. (Though they weren't particularly easy)

Tonight with the latest app update, I'm seeing those same missions now as Hard or impossible. I don't know for sure, but it seems that all the combatant levels were just raised.

Can anyone confirm? Anyone know why this was deemed necessary?

Hmm, that wasn't supposed to go in till tomorrow, guess someone managed to sneak it into R43 last minute. No change in mission difficulty, we just fixed a bug that was devaluing the labeling of the missions is all. Namely that the enemies were still using normalized levels instead of effective level for difficulty calculation. Similar to how characters used to be normalized at 50 but in the background would be 85 or 141 or what have you, minions are much the same.

I really have to say it seems like a really big jump between minions up to lvl 25 for like the first 3 lvls of the prolog (Hammer, Jugg, Venom) and within oscorp they jump up to lvl 60..

I mean I currently really have no clue how players are supposed to lvl up 30lvls just like that, to be able to continue with pve o.o
Any suggestion where I can get the missing 30 lvls? o.o

When the difficulty jumped like that was when I started to consider PvP. You get a lot of ISO for competing - it will get you over that hump.

But I dont get covers is my problem.. atm Im turning:

No covers to get to a higher lvl --> do pvp --> get random token --> get covers for chars u dont have --> need HP --> need to do more PvE ... but still no new covers to lvl up chars like thor or storm to over lvl 24 :/

Ergo more PvP without any hard hitters, ergo u feel like a punching bag lol

PvP just doesnt help me at all with getting covers to raise the lvl cap :/
  • Honestly, in PVE you can typically fight above your weight class, especially if you use boosts. Missions featuring only mooks are especially easy, I feel, though the newest changes to mook abilities did add some bite. I think I cleared Oscorp with characters in their 30s. (I used C Storm, Thor, and * Black Widow, I believe). Widow was actually in her 20s, cause she still hasn't hit 30 (better chars to level now). Was tough, and I needed to 3 boosts for a lot of the harder matches, but it can be done. Make those tough fights the last thing you do before putting the game down, because regardless your chars will need healing time.

Edit: And making smart use of C storm's yellow ability is key.
