Roster Advice Needed

I have decided to finally stop lurking because I really need some advice on my roster. I have covers for Grey Suit BW and Falcon lying around now, and I am close to getting enough HP to buy one more roster slot. However, I would like to have both of them on my team, so I am thinking about ditching one of my characters. (I think I won't get enough HP in time to buy yet another slot.) In addition to that, I am not sure whether I should keep developing Hawkeye or focus on 2-Star-Wolvie instead because of the recent changes in healing.

Here's my roster:

Ares (85; 4/4/5)
OBW (85; 3/5/5)
MN Magneto (85; 4/4/5)
Moonstone (85; 5/5/3)
Classic Storm (85; 5/5/3)
MN Thor (85; 4/5/4)
Hulk (77; 4/2/2)
Modern Hawkeye (55; 5/5/3)
Punisher (53; 1/4/0)
Iron Man 35 (50; 5/5/3)
Modern Storm (50; 5/4/4)
Modern Black Widow (40; 5/5)
Modern Captain America (37; 5/5/3)
X-Force Wolverine (34; 1/1/0)
Astonishing X-Men Wolverine (31; 5/5/3)
Classic Spider-Man (30; 2/1/1)
Patch Wolverine (28; 2/0/1)
Daredevil (25; 3/1/0)
Loki (25; 2/0)
Steve Rogers Captain America (20; 1/1/1)
Sentry (18; 1/1/0)
Classic Daken (15; 0/0/1)
Human Torch (15; 1/0/0)
Classic Magneto (15; 0/1/0)
Modern Thor (15; 1/0/0)

I'm thinking about ditching Loki or Spidey, but I would really appreciate any advice. I want to keep my 3 One-Stars for the odd case where I might need them.
Oh, and I'm on day 131.

I recommend that you get rid of IM35 and MBW. They rarely have the Lone Star PvP and you would be better served dumping them rather than any 3*. You should buy HP if you really want to keep all characters
  • Thanks for your reply. I am still unsure - anyone else who'd like to weigh in here?

Definitely never throw out 3*s however useless, they are always required or prominently buffed in Story events. The biggest offender is The Simulator (not the Shield Simulator, the Story mode one) which at times required Loki, Doom and Ragnarok. <-- gah
I agree with ditching IM 35 and mBW; mBW requires no levels and is easier rebuilt; her optimal build is 2/5 or so, so you can rebuild her in 1-2 days if lucky when she's available in a Heroic event next time (not soon).

    What she said.

If possible hold on to everyone but if you can't, ditch widow first because her abilities are not level-dependant (that said, you probably do want to pump a bit of ISO into her just so she can survive AOE attacks like Molotovs or Call of the Storm).
  • Thank you all for your advice. I guess I'll ditch MBW then, if I don't get enough HP by the time my Falcon cover expires.

Any thoughts on my Hawkeye vs. Wolverine question? I didn't want to level Wolvie initially because he's got the same colours as Ares and Thor; but with the recent changes, he might be useful...

Don't invest into Hawkeye yet until he receives a buff; and fittingly enough Astonishing Wolverine is buffed now in the Heroic DA.
  • I would ditch Widow as well, then IM35. I think IM35 might play well with Magneto in this new environment but I ditched mine weeks ago for space, so I can't confirm that. My take on Hawkeye is his only value is PvE against goon only teams, so I would definitely level Wolvie first.

Hah, I just saw that as well. Convenient. I'll dump my spare ISO into Wolvie then.
