Can we PLEASE turn the insane health boosts off of the lightning rounds!?! Lol when a characters health won't even fit into the stat box that's been designed for it you know it's gone too far!

When it's over 20k the game just becomes Marvel Skip Quest!

Vegeta would have a heart attack!!!

  • skipi rag teams? Or use some villains yourself; magneto does ridiculous damage
  • Dude getting in the top 25 to win a villain is insane when everyone's team over 200 points has health over 9000!! (More like 20k lol) The strong get stronger and those without Rags n Mags get sweet f.a!

Everyone had to start somewhere. Aim for 25-50 and diabolical tokens while slowly getting your guys up. I'm using a 66 mag (3/1/3) and 51 rag (0/4) that i almost completely won from diabolical tokens with c.storm/thor.
  • yeah this is just stupid. It's impossible to even get top 50 for a diabolical token without the already buffed heros. TAKE OFF THE DAMN BUFF!!!

its very possible to get top 50 with wolv/thor/storm/IM40/spidey/grey widow etc.
  • yeah its a little tough but doable, u just have to focus and use buffs at the end to try to maintain. there are many success stories such as myself and others who slowly built up a villain team.
  • As I've went over in a different thread, the answer is to make the default character a level 50 character, with access to all it's skills/covers. No buffs.

That way, it's hard for the C.Storm team to exploit it and it gives a new user an idea on what potential powers the character has. It still allows the other users a chance to bring in a superior character if they have a high-leveled default character.

totally agree. I get my first rag covers with storm/thor combo. Also must agree that now it is harder then month ago but first 50 to get diabolical is quite possible

Lol thats what i'm saying! With a team like that now you easily win more diabolical tokens coz you can just boss through the crowd and everyone without those 2 has to press SKIP! I can easily smash a team of Rag/Mag/Hood if they were normal but the balance is royally F*cked! As I said the health doesn't even fit onto the screen lol!

    *Edit*
Just for the record I've won 2x Mag. 2x Rag. 4x Hood. 2x Loki from lightning rounds. But a battle these days isn't like lightning - its a long-**** chore! Keep the damage boosts just get rid of the insane health boost!

You're missing the last point though. I got my current team in the first place with c.storm and thor lol, so it's definitely doable. You just need to use boosts at the end and go really fast.

*summons a psuedo IceX to answer why that wouldn't work*

Then new players would rely soley on the high level characters and it'd be a mirror match.

I like my level averaging idea though.
  • I am finding many player now have 2 buffed players such as magneto and rags or doom and rags etc. it makes me feel like im playing wrong for building up my grey widow when I could build up IM 40 for tourneys, or hood, magneto etc for lightning rounds.

Yup I broke through a couple of weeks ago. If you are fighting high level 3* villains on opposing teams, you're doing it wrong. I'll also note that having c.storm on your team isn't the only way to go about it.
  • Tank, then rise. Lightning rounds run about 48 hours. If matchmaking works the way I think it does, then if you enter and place very low for several rounds, when the next one comes up you should face easier opponents, making it easier to climb the rank for the prize.

I've tried running Rag Lvl 38 3/0 with C.Storm Lvl 50 5/4/4 and the throwaway today. Even with that, I didn't manage to get anything other than ISO from placement rewards. I might've managed to place higher in the Loki round, but had to leave with about 15 minutes left.

Consistently placing just below the good rewards will keep the matchmaking pitting you against moderately tough or really tough opponents. Tank a few rounds by placing low, then try for your prize. That's what I've decided to try this week.

The thing to keep in mind is that you must be able to burn through matches quickly. While you won't have a lot of high level teams attacking, you will quickly find that you run out of teams worth tons of points. You need as much offensive firepower as you can.

Yes, except things have changed since then -- namely every week there are more mid or upper level Rags running around, making it harder for those without to place.

I just placed in the top 25 for the Rag tourney again -- and that was tanking for the two tourneys before, which was actually rather counterproductive (see below), running a Wolv/C Storm/L15 Rag team for the majority of the tournament and a Wolv/Thor/L38 Rag (3 green, no red) with boosts for the last 25 minutes. I scored higher than I have ever done in a Lightning Round -- nearly 500 points. But it still wasn't enough to break the top 8, and so instead I have another effing green Rag that I don't particularly care about. I'll use it, sure, but it's not going to help anywhere close to as much as a red Rag.

So why do I say that tanking hurt too much? Because I couldn't find any decent matches. All I found were people around 50 points that would give me 8 or 9 points. The only time I got more than that for a match was from some retaliations I made -- two of them against a team w/ a L110 Rag and very low level secondary chars (as in, under L40; IM40 and Grey Suit). I wiped the team the first time -- Rag was dead on turn 2, the rest on turn 3. Second time I got wiped.

Take off the %&$)(*#&)#(& buffs, or reduce them. A 200% buff on Rags is utterly ridiculous, which has been said for a month now. Even a 100% buff would be reasonable at this point.
