Lazy Cap vs Punisher

So right now, I am working on my 3* transition. The two 3* I have the most covers for are Lazy Cap, with a total of 8 covers, and Punisher, a total of 7. Lazy Cap currently at 2/3/3. Punisher currently at 3/2/2.

I want to have bit of a consensus on who to pick. I know Punisher is a good all around character and Lazy Cap is a slow, but has some consistent damage output and good for grindy PvE sessions.

To add on, I have a maxed out OBW and a 2/1/2 Hood if that is any help.

  • I have both maxed and I prefer Lazy Cap. Punisher is ok and doesn't really do anything bad but I think he is overrated.
  • Punisher is versatile and has three good abilities, but Cap can take someone down himself with minimal color matching. That plus more HP and damage says Cap all the way.
  • Captain is stronger, but Punisher is easier to use in PvP. It's difficult to build a strong PvP team where Captain has the only red ability. Captain is one of the top PvE characters when you never have to worry about being counterattacked.

I think its punisher for the versatility of being able to fit in every team. Cap is limited in that he bas a great red, average blue, and poor yellow while punishers three abilities are all good.

I actually really like caps Blue, the defense tile it leaves behind is so strong.
Would be good for PvE as well.
I think Punisher is slightly better for PvP than Cap due to his lower cost abilities.
While Cap is better in PvE.

They're both good (I wish I had more Lazy Cap covers!) but speed is king so Punisher wins.

He's a bigger deterrent on PVP defence too now - thanks to his low AP costs there's a very good chance he'll get a molotov off and do some damage to your whole team.
  • I like punisher because of his swords. 3 swords on the field and you're doing considerable amounts of damage. Like every other person out there, I run punisher with OBW, and the damage output is fantastic.

Btws, read my last comment on my guide post. Might want to hold off leveling any 3* guys for now.

With the drift to long games, Lazy Cap is king, especially when Hood is backing him up. Cap is my favorite character to play. When things go bad, they are three characters that have managed to still squeak out wins for me -- Cap, Magneto, and Daken.

Punisher is pretty good, but his play is kinda random, and I prefer planning things out.
  • BTW, should I go 5/5/3 or 3/5/5 for Punisher? I know both have very dofferent applicatins and strengths. Just want a consensus on which way to go.

5/5/3 is probably the better overall build but when scaling starts to kick your **** in PVE events (L150+ Juggs for example) you'll really wish you had 3/5/5.

Looks like health is about to grow for all characters across the board; so will the damage, of course, but it might 'feel' faster with a 3/5/5 Punisher. Especially if you are on mobile platforms, you can see the visible 40% health mark:

So I picked up this cool game that combines two of my favorite things, Puzzle Questing and Marveling! I earned a bunch of new characters with cool new powers, like Punisher, Hulk, and Ares... just to name a few. And when I get into the game with them, I'm presented with math word problems; like...

    1. If the enemy Iron Man has 3676 max life points, and your Punisher can kill him with one shot if his health is less than 40%, how many life points does Iron Man need to be at for the Punisher to succeed?
    Answers:

    1. When his life bar is a little chunk below halfway up his life cross.
    Mobile version only.

From what I remember, it's somewhere there:

    ........I...I
    ....___I...I___
    ...I___ __ ___I
    ........I...I
    ........I__I
