Is anyone even close to 2000 in SHIELD Versus?

I'm not sure if it's one giant bracket (since I haven't seen many prominent names and the highest total is 1384), but I really want to start getting my rank up there so I can finally get a blue Spidey (2600). Dude's been ducking me something fierce.

Is anyone even playing it anymore?

    I believe 1384 is the highest. Shield VS was before the first bracketing was implemented, and I've also let my ranking lapse to 14892. I've been keeping an eye on it, and the highest total isn't really increasing much, so I wouldn't count on getting that 2600 Spidey any time soon. Sorry!

    That's kind of annoying. Most of the matches I get in my point area (I think I'm around 1000) are mid level C-Storm/Thor teams. It's not even like they're maxed out.

    I guess no one's playing it. Kind of sucks; there's some pretty nice rewards in there.

    It functions similar to the PvP tourney, as such others need to be high for you to get high. Since the tournement rewards are generally way better the times where its worth it to do the shield over them is very few. Plus, you have to slog through WAAAAY too many things like widow cards in the thousands range to warrant slowly making it up instead of doing the first few rewards of a lightning round, pushing a lead in a PvP, or winning a match or two in a pve.

    Right now there is a little down time, but lightning rounds may start soon..or another tournement. You'd have to massively neglect those to even get high enough for something like a thor..nonetheless spidey or the widow cards.

    Basically the shield is only used for the after match ISO rewards and the ranking rewards when you are very new to the game. Without a major overhaul in the mechanics or the reward barriers this will not change.

    I use a B team on the SHIELD tournament and no health packs or boosts ever. What that B team consists of depends on who's down from using up my A team on the current events. At one point I had three separate teams going, but the C team for SHIELD was too low level to win without lucky cascades.

    At this low of a priority, I haven't even broken 800 points.

    i got 1000 for the HP and thats it. the next good reward would be 1500, but that would take forever as i'd have to beat on increasingly worthless (pointswise) opponents. i do want the spiderman covers at 2300+ but lol

    The nice rewards are at point levels that are simply unreachable. Ever.

    See viewtopic.php?f=7&t=950 for more detail on how scoring works currently. I'd love IceIX to comment, but I doubt that will happen.

    If they actually want to be kind then they'd remove the "center point" at 700-800 and make it so that you lose at most 80% of the points you lose from an attack. There would still be strategy on retaliations, but there would be less of a tug toward a rather low point score.
