For the love of all that is Holy in MPQ,

Can the devs PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do something to fix the MMR in PVP?!?!?!?

People all over the boards have mentioned this time and time again. And it just seems to keep getting worse!

My highest level character is a lvl 85, followed by 2 lvl 81's, then a 70. SO WHY I AM GOING UP AGAINST A SOLID WALL OF lvl 141's?!?

The only way to fix this is to waste all my time tanking, suiciding my team over and over again. And it is getting TIRESOME and WEARING!
And to top that off, this only helps for 20-30 matches. Then it's right back to the people I have no chance in hell of beating unless I super boost.

This is ridiculous and is ruining the game for me! I could understand if I was hitting a wall of all lvl 85's. I'm on that brink. But 141's? How in the hell am I supposed to compete in an arena. It's like putting an Yorkie against a Pittbull.

What have your recent PVP scores been? What were your ranks? Are you using boosts to beat high point teams? Do you shield often to climb in the ranks and negate losses? Do you heal in the prologue? Do you have characters that you could level higher than 85 but have not yet? Do you have a small roster so that your average character level is higher? How many days have you been playing? Do you push high and then take a lot of losses before pushing again? Or do you just try to make one large push?

No one knows the exact MMR formula, but it is a formula that the computer simply runs on your account. It doesn't affect everyone as much as you, though it does some. Basically, I'm saying, it's not random. We don't know the exact factors, but someone the algorithm's determined that you should be facing tougher opponents.

It would actually be helpful if people started posted relevant information so we could deduce the formula.

The only thing that is holy in MPQ is the almighty dollar.

I generally average around 550-600, last pvp, I made a personal best of 700

    Last event, I was 44.

I rarely use boost in PVP. Usually on in PVE. This is the first event I have ever tried shield hopping. But to do that, I have had to spend 1000's skipping the maxed out 141 teams. and several 212 Storms. (****? people have nothing better to do with a hundred dollars?) I do not use Prologue healing.

If I had the ISO, yes.

    No. My roster is 30. Levels 85, 81, 81, 70, 70, 53, 51, then all in the 20's or below

    90

Sometimes. I usually push to 300-400 at the beginning and then come back the last day to push for my top score.
  • This is clearly a preview for the next patch that will include the ability to buy a '****-only-opponent-toggle'

For $99.99 a month you may face only enemies half your level or less and get a guaranteed top spot even if you are away for an event.

-for an extra $24.99, we'll give you a months supply of free shields and 1-match wins (currently in beta testing by a few guys in xmen)

if all things go well, we will roll out these features world-wide soon!

    LMFAO!!!!

So they jack everyone's MMR up super high and then sell us "downers" to feed our opponents to get them back to regular levels? Sounds like an evil mastermind plan to me.

Anyone whose ever had a casual acquaintance with recreational drug use know what happens when you mix uppers and downers.

If I had the ISO, yes.

I've heard of other people who held their 3*'s at or below 85, thinking it would allow them to face only 85's. These same people complained about seeing the 141's that you are.

I wonder if instead of character level, the algorithm examines how many covers a character has. For instance, if you have a couple of 3*'s with at least 11 covers, you see other rosters that have 3*'s with at least 11 covers.

Yes. That's when the fun begins.

I did that with my 2 stars. Didn't seem to make a difference so I abandoned that rationale very quickly.
