If you guys want to sell more costumes, do better with your alternate costumes. The pixel variants are uninspired, more like lazy. How about doing what Marvel Snap does?
Here's what the original vs pixel look like. Very different styles and clearly the devs went out of their way to make it different. Maybe you guys would sell more.

Do costumes provide any boosts or benefits? I think they’re kind of neat but can’t see myself ever paying for them.
No it's purely cosmetic.
I probably wouldn't pay for them myself either, but if there's was costume store where you could buy them for just a few bucks (instead of only coming in ridiculous $75 mega bundles) I can imagine a lot of people wouldn't mind chucking over some cash for cool costumes on their favorite characters.
