My guess is that Hawkguy will be high tier because of healing and great versatility of his powers but he is a bit slow and his CD tiles can be matched away. Definitely good in goon nodes though!

For 6 AP, Deadpool's red Power does the same damage as Human Torch's Fireball, which is generally considered one of the top red skills in Three-star land. That's an excellent AP-to-damage ratio even if it is best used early in the fight to soften the opponent up, then you can drop a whale on them to finish them off. I agree black is not very good though. It's quite possible to take someone out with ALOTT too as long as you have some decent strike tiles on the board.

But I'd never pick him just because of his one power. There are maybe a few characters that I ever pick just to use their one power, but it has to be really exceptional: Prof X, Switch or someone really situational. Picking Dpool just for his red, that is only good at the beginning of the fight is a no-no.

Mega-whaling difficult fights can be invaluable.

Captain Marvel, combined with Polaris, when she fires her red she destroys all enemy protect tiles, and then Polaris creates 3 protect tiles for each one destroyed, So you effectively flip the board from having a board of enemy protects to a board full of even more friendly protects. She is great against BRB/Polaris combos that occur fairly regularly.2. Hawkeye-again combined with Polaris and facing off against Polaris/Grocket, when you match enemy specials, he creates blue and purple AP for you. That means I can usually fire my Polaris stun before the enemy team does. This can be game changing, firing my stun first.3. Black Widow, I used her often with 2* Bullseye and 3* Magneto to make a winfinite team while I was in 3* land. I still sometimes combine her with 2* Bullseye in PvE to try and beat some of the harder 5* nodes in SCL9, and they can still bring it sometimes. Her and Bullseye together can get you through some tough times. With Magneto, though, they are really a formidable 3-some.4. Magneto. See above, and he's pretty effective on his own as well.5. The Hulk can be very good against Polaris, as she deals a ton of damage, which will trigger his board destroying shenanigans. He is not to be underestimated.6. The other 3*s that you will want to sharget are the ones that are used in Lightning Rounds. Get them up as high as you can, and they will pay off for many moons to come.7. I use many in Puzzle Gaunlets as well. Get to know what their abilities are, so, for instance, when you have to create green tiles or AP, know that The Hulk and Kamala (or Black Widow) will do well for you. There are many more that are useful in certain situations (IM40, Strange, Spiderman, Cyclops, Thanos), so having a good stable will do well for you.Hope that helps.
