Zhalfir's Fate exiled tokens I was controlling [Can’t reproduce]

Nodes of Power, blue node, playing with Teferi. I had Major Zhalfir's Fate (Teferi's 3rd ability) on the board. I took control of a small stack of zombie army tokens with In Bolas' Clutches. No creatures on the opponent's side remained. Next turn, I draw a card, Zhalfir's Fate triggers - and exiles the stack of tokens, on my side. This happened at least twice, there was nothing else triggering according to the battle log, and I can't think of anything else that could have done it. Opponent was basic Jace and had no supports out.
