Hero coin question?

Just a quick question . . . Is it better to use the hero coins on covers for 2 and 3 star characters or to take my chances on daily deals?? All answers would be greatly appreciated. I have an Ares and 2* Storm that only need 1 card each to be maxed and I have 1000 coins? Just looking for some feedback and advice!

    It's widely advised in these forums to use your HP (the gold coins) on cover slots, and little else.

    That being said, if you are purchasing HP for the use of leveling up your covers and you have it in abundance, it is likely cheaper to spend the HP directly on your covers, rather than buy recruit tokens. Tokens are completely random, so you never really know what you're going to get, so if it is a specific cover that you already have and you're interested in leveling it - chances are you won't get the one you need without a LOT of recruit tokens.
