Crystalline Giant

I was playing through the Ikoria Training games, and have a question about Crystalline Giant.
On the first combat it gave itself Defender, and on the second combat it gave itself Vigilance.
On the opponent's combat, will CG act as if it has Defender or as if it has Vigilance?

    most likely the latter: creatures with defender that were given vigilance by way of spell act vigilant
