This vanguard’s +1 ability used to give +3 mana & flash to the first spell in your hand, regardless of the spell’s position in-hand. Now, it tediously requires the spell to be first in your hand, otherwise it does nothing.
Additionally, if you have a non-flash spell with full mana, no matter the position in-hand, Teferi’s +1 will not give that card flash or add a shield to itself. This is also a problem for spells with stored mana when trying to fill the second bar.
Now I’m curious if this card’s passive ability is working. It doesn’t acknowledge a triggering on the battle log from it. I’ll test that one some more...
