bluewolf said: Thanks for making the thread and posting info so far out!Looks like PVP shards for 5's will follow an alphabetical order for all 5's (including Latests). And PVE will continue - seemingly - following LLLCC and shards will be the 5E in progression, next 5E in placement.Could make it easier to finish Latests, for sure. That's a nice thing.

I really didn't think the bean counters would let them give away shards through placement/progression on Latest characters like that. I was wrong. I'm torn on this. You're right in that it will make it easier to get characters covered before they leave Latest, and that *is* nice. But I was hoping this would be a way to feature Classic 5*s more often to help get them covered better. Now we'll basically get one shot at them each year (or longer) when they're the 5*E and that's it. Not really doing much to help get older characters covered if you missed them when they were in Latest. 😕

Okay. So, I don't even understand why they would make it that hard. After all, SHIELD training will only yield one cover for the new character anyway. Also, that's one extra roster slot for everyone who earns it. HoundofShadow said: Northstar was almost a given since the 4* before him has appeared more than two events. That's... not how that works. To provide an analogy: "Oh, well, my abusive spouse did break my arm, but it's really alright because it's been at least 3 weeks since they last did that, they were very nice in the meantime!".

I like this alot.

I like this alot. Just my personal experience, but I find pulling from Classics terribly inefficient. So even though you're getting one extra pull for every 100 CP spent, what's the quality of that pull? I can probably count on one hand and certainly not more than two the number of useful 5* covers I've pulled from Classics. Useful meaning a non-saved cover or one used for a champ level; a missing cover that can be applied to an undercovered 5*. Champ levels are nice, no doubt about it, but my personal goal is to get all the 5*s champed, so any pull that doesn't contribute towards that goal is less than desirable to me. For me, I've found the better way to fill in the gaps on those missing 5*s is to wait for them to be in a special store. I'm up to 31 5* champs on day 1371 for reference. Hopefully 32 today if I can snag two yellow Goblin covers in the Sinister store. Even one will help make a difference, as my 334 Sandman would then need just six covers instead of 16 to finish him off. Barring Sinister, of the eight I don't have champed, only three have fewer than 10 covers. Those same three are the only ones that can't be fully finished by feeders.

Do you spend money on the game at all? Different players have different styles. I play to progression in story and usually to the 10 cp in versus. I rarely spend. When I do it's for a really good store if I'm a couple hundred away from a 10 pack. I'm on day 2139. I have 13 5* champed. To me no 5* pull is undesirable so I'm ok with more dillution for "slower" progress. Slower in the sense that it raises everybody up across 40 characters instead of faster on 3. I like the champ rewards on both 4*'s and 5*'s. 20% increase is nothing to sneeze at in my mind.

I'd say maybe $500-$600 total in nearly 4 years of playing. But I've also been playing PvE competitively for 3 years, PvP for 2.There's nothing wrong with pulling from Classics; that's what they're there for. I've done it from time to time myself. I just find it's helpful to hoard CP until one of my undercovered 5*s are featured in a store and then pull while the risk of getting something I want to avoid is minimized. That's the nice thing about the game, we do have choices about where and how we want to use our resources. Though if they upped to odds in Classics to, say, 20 percent, that might become more enticing.
