    I'd be happy if we could at least flag certain characters as "preferred" or "favorite" or something, then have those listed at the front of the roster list & if auto-select has more than 1 option to pick from it could then always pick the flagged option.

    This would let you put the ones you use most in easy reach as well as give the auto-picker some semblance of a clue, and would be easy to edit for a given event.

    or just an option to turn on/off auto switch.  I can see why either way could be beneficial from player to player.  But if this was a changeable option such as Viewing Animations, it would be much better for everyone.
