Gideon of the Trial's first ability (Oketra's Initiates) no longer creates creature tokens

I was trying a new deck in TG with Gideon of the Trial when I noticed that his first ability no longer produces any creature tokens. It does, however, consume the 9 loyalty. I've tried this ability three times in the same match and each time it drained 9 loyalty but produced no effect. My opponent was using the red/white Huatli, so no Mistcaller or something like that was in play.

    Agree....Again something that has worked for years is broken....

    FIX IT

    The ability shows an animated flash.....then nothing.....no tokens..

    Playing an emblam event with an embalm based planeswalker you've broken is fun fun fun

    @Tombstone: Can you check this too, please? His first ability is an important one and makes him virtually unusable with this bug.
