Koth's first ability can destroy Vanguards regardless of shields [Investigating]

I just watched a vanguard support of mine with 5 shields get instantly popped by Koth's first ability. Wouldn't be surprised if other similar ones like Ajani1's ultimate did the same...

It's not only Koth's first ability. EVERY card or effect that randomly destroys gems insta-kills a vanguard. For example, Rupture Spire insta-kills ANY vanguard that sits on a gem of your PW's color. I haven't tried it yet, but I can imagine a card like Fall of the Thran also insta-kills vanguards.

Hi everyone, the issue with Koth's Reshape the Land ability is scheduled to be fixed in update 3.6.0
