TED should gain loyalty from matching void gems. He would be the only one that does this, it would fit, and it would make running Eldrazi tribal on him more fitting.

    Or maybe even mana. But loyalty alone would give him just a bit more flavor without making him a lot more powerful

    Yeah that makes a ton of sense. Also leads me to think, a way to make him standard-viable could be to tweak his abilities to give cards in hand devoid/ingest. To have his ult depend on the two(?) ingest gems from his second sticking around long enough to recharge his loyalty makes it close to unuseable in standard. 

    For example, I know not not many people use Nissa 3 since cycling moved to legacy and was nerfed, but at least her second (give all cards cycling) makes her ult (buff on cycle) still viable wherever she is. If TED took even a tiny page from her book it could make him way more interesting. Perhaps another tweak to one of his abilities could be to create a support that gives him loyalty from devoid gems or something. 

    Poor TED could definitely use some lovin, especially since his ZvsE counterpart has become one of the stronger mono-walkers in the game.
