    As part of Kitty Pryde's (Shadowcat) character
    Lockheed doesn't need to be his own character and Kitty Pryde deserves to stand on her own - she's hardly as attached to Lockheed as Rocket is to Groot, or Cloak is to Dagger.

    But Lockheed can be involved in one of Kitty's powers, breathing fire on her enemies or something.

    I would also be OK with Lockheed as a Support, but I'd like him best as something sort of like Redwing for 3* Falcon. One or more Passive effects in her power set wouldn't actually be her doing anything, it would be Lockheed. Passive because Kitty is the one on your team, not him, but you ca set up the conditions for him to do a thing.
