Kazarov does not work with the damage from Grave Mist [Investigating]

Kazarov, Sengir Pureblood has a damage effect and a separate unconnected ability that says he grows when the opponent's creatures take damage.
This means that with Liliana using grave mist against enemy creatures he should get bigger but he does not. In the same game he sees his _own_ damage effect just fine, so it's a problem with damage that isn't his own. (Or possibly it's a specific problem with Grave Mist! Not sure.)
