Zahid, Djinn of the Lamp not Triggering Text Mechanic [Solved]

Not sure if I'm missing anything, but I haven't been able to consistently get Zahid to activate its text mechanic (lose a support reinforcement and decrease mana cost by 5).  It seems to only work maybe 1/3 of the time, even with plenty of multi-shield supports on the board.  Am I missing something, or are others encountering this issues as well?

    I believe I stand corrected on this - I misinterpreted "support reinforcement" as shield.  I tried paying more attention in a couple recent matches and it may be working as appropriate.  I apologize for the confusion.

    If you have a few of the good treasure generating cards, that's a good way to get support reinforcements to feed the Djinn.
