Cycling deserts dont have land subtype [Investigating]

Today as usual I was messing around with a brew of mine. This time its centerpiece was Tatyova the Bentic Druid, which draws a card and gains 4 life whenever you cast a land, and conveniently enough, most of the desert spells are lands. The deck is extremely hilarious and is blast to play, however, somehow the common deserts (Desert of the Indomitable/Mindful/Glorified/Fervent/True) dont count as lands and thus dont trigger Tatyova, which is slightly annoying considering they are lands in paper magic.

    Survivor's Encampment does count as a land, which makes it seem even more like the five colored common deserts should too, to me at least.
